RESORT OF GOLFE-JUAN: Golfe-Juan has palm tree lined sandy beaches (600m from the apartment). Enjoy a meal at one of the beach restaurants overlooking the sea or stroll to the Marina or Old Port, where there are many more restaurants. Watersports are also widely available from the beaches. For a cultured evening enjoy a night out at Golfe-Juan's Theatre de la Mer. Everything is walking distance from the apartment - beaches, Marina, restaurants, shops, theatre and train station.

CANNES Film Festival - ANTIBES / JUAN-LES-PINS: The apartment is in a good location for the Cannes film festival (May 2004) - only 1 stop by train. Cannes is also a great place to visit at any time of year with its festivals, exhibitions, chic shops, restaurants. Antibes / Juan-les-Pins is 1 stop by train in the other direction. Antibes with its famous Port Vauban, cobblestone streets and Provencal market in the old town (Vieil Antibes) is a charming and interesting place to visit. The Picasso Museum is also in Antibes. Adjoining Antibes is Juan-les-Pins, a lively resort with a Casino, bars, restaurants and stylish clothes shops.

BOAT TRIPS and more ....: Boat trips from Golfe-Juan can take you towards Cannes and on to St. Tropez or head the other direction towards Monaco (only 40kms) - well worth a day trip. Just beyond Monaco is Italy - so spend a day in Italy practising your italian as opposed to your french! If you love playing golf there are many fine golf courses in the area (between 5-12 kms from the apartment). Finally, the mountains are only 50 minutes away - so don't forget your skis in winter and hiking boots in summer!

The discription was accurate regarding the location layout and facilities.
La Desirade was a very attractive,clean and well maintained complex.
We found that public transit,both bus and train services very convenient to use.
The owner provided excellent customer service and we would recommend this property to a friend.
The restuarants and grocery shopping in the area were good.
We enjoyed the convenience of being able to travel the length of the Cote d'Azure.
