Nice sandy beaches nearby. The private beaches have reclining chairs, and provide towels, full food and beverage services, and a range of hire activities such as sailing, paddle boats, windsurfing, and fishing. The public beach is well maintained with showers and restroom facilities. There are many opportunities for exploring the hinterland: the old fortified village of Biot famous for its glassblowers, Cannes and the Isles of Lérins whose State prison once held the mysterious Man in the Iron Mask, Valbonne and its 15th century square, Vallauris Golfe-Juan and its ceramics, Tourrettes-sur-Loup capital of violets, Grasse and its perfumeries, Saint-Paul with the famous Maeght Foundation, Gourdon perched high over the French Riviera. The French Riviera is also a land of nature, offering those who love wildlife and the outdoors many hikes: the forests of La Valmasque and La Brague, Vallée des Merveilles high up in the mountains, and the Parc National du Mercantour.
