Mandelieu is the premier Mediterranean golfing resort with 2 golf courses, the old course and the Riveria Golf. The two courses are very different in terms of their layout, planting and technical specs:- *The 'OLD COURSE', founded in 1891 by Grand-Duke Michael of Russia, is one of the oldest golf courses in France. It was modelled on the famous St Andrews golf course in Scotland. It offers 2 courses: 18-holes and 9-holes, laid out in the shade of century-old pines. The picturesque 18-hole course (5676 m par 71) has superb links, wide fairways and undulating greens. There's a river-crossing to gain access to the 3rd hole. *Riviera Golf :Opened in 1991, a century after its famous neighbour, the RIVERIA GOLF COURSE was designed by the American Robert Trent Jones Senior. Located in an area of unspoiled natural beauty, surrounded by the Estérel Massif and the mimosa forest, this 18-hole course (5066 metres, par 71) is a very technical, undulating and wooded course, with water hazards. *Available from tourist offices, the Golf Pass allows you to play the two 18-hole courses which make Mandelieu-La Napoule the premier golf destination on the French Riviera. The Pass can be exchanged for two green-fees on the Riviera Golf Course and/or the Old Course. *Other course in the area include 3 at Mougin(15mins),3 at Grasse(25mins),2 at Ste Maxine(35mins.
