Furnished to high standard. Large lounge, modern fully fitted kitchen with breakfast bar & dining area for 6. Lounge has double sofa (convertible), occasional chairs, Satellite TV/radio, DVD. Kitchen has every convenience plus washing machine and dishwasher.Double bedroom has en-suite bathroom.Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds.Family bathroom.All apartment windows overlook enclosed garden/park.Apt is quiet & free of traffic noise.Direct express coach to/ from Nice Airport stops outside apartment as do local buses to Nice, Monaco, Villefranche. The apartment is situated in the best location in the centre of Menton. See photos for map.The popular beaches and promenade are directly across the road.The Old Town, Harbour and Marina are just a few minutes walk away as are the chic fashion shops/ boutiques.You are right beside all the lovely restaurants and cafes as well as the daily fruit/vegetable and fish market.The Casino and tourist office are around the corner and the Menton train station is 3 minutes walk.From there you can visit all the resorts of both the French and Italian riviera.Local bus stop is beside the apartment which takes you to Monte Carlo in 10 minutes! All French windows are double glazed and overlook an enclosed leafy park/garden.It is quiet and away from traffic noise which is very important in summer.Apartment building has a resident English speaking concierge who can assist you with local queries or arrange car parking space etc. Apartment building has a lift (elevator) and common areas are cleaned daily.

From the moment we walked up the private entrance to this old Hotel Astoria building with all its beautiful architectural features, entering by the secure front door and greeted by the charming and helpful Concierge, we knew we'd made the right choice from hundreds we looked at.
The apartment is every bit as inviting, comfortable, functional, stylish, spacious and classy as it looks in the photographs. Echoes of the grand old days are evident in the decor.and it is peaceful.
We appreciated the convenience and location with everything you could want, walkable to and on the flat so no problems for those who find difficulty in climbing hills or even slopes. The apartment is located in a very amenable, residential area with beach, Salon de The, food shops and any other shops you might want, on the doorstep or very easily walkable to and what a pleasure the strolling around the streets of Menton is.
The owners were very helfpul with regard to the booking and details of how to find it as well as providing useful information re. places to visit though we were so happy in Menton that we did not go far afield and when we did were thrilled to come scuttling back to the comfort of the apartment and Menton. Other reviewers have singled out the local attractions - mountain villages, Monte Carlo, Italy and more of the Cote D'Azur if you want.
We have only compliments to offer with absolutely no complaints and we definitely will recommend it to friends as well as hoping to return ourselves.

Beautiful apartment (just as in photos+description),fantastic location (25steps to the beach /promenade ) in town centre,charming/helpful concierge .

"SIMPLY THE BEST"
For location,layout,convenience,facilities and space this has to be one of the best rental apartments in Menton. It is excellently positioned beside the beach,promenade,casino and rail station.All of Menton`s attractions,shops, restaurants/cafes,old town,tourist office,markets etc. are a pleasant short stroll from apartment.The concierge was very obliging during our stay as was the owner in providing useful information prior to our arrival.
We have no hesitation in recommending this property and its practical bedroom layout makes it ideal for 2 couples sharing or a family group.We had a great holiday there and plan to return at some future date.

We had a very lovely time again in Menton, and your renovations are a very nice upgrade to the apartment. The lovely tile floors really add to the Mediterranean look, and the apartment seems so spacious with the continuous tiles from the living area into the bedrooms. Our granddaughter was thrilled with the second bathroom. We also really enjoyed all the TV channels, and we watched a few of the DVD's you have there. Although the weather was quite unsettled for the first week, the rest of the month was good. We went on quite a few long walks, and used the bus service up to St. Agnes & Roquebrune. We walked back along the Chemin de Menton from Roquebrune one day, and also walked around Cap Martin a couple of times. We think that your location has to be among the best in Menton. We really enjoyed being right in the centre of everything when we went out, and yet once back in the apartment it is so private and quiet. The concierge is very friendly and helpful, and luckily for us, he speaks English well.

A wonderful post christmas break

Hello Adrian

We had a wonderful week at your beautiful apartment. It certainly did meet with our expectations. We found it spacious, delightfully decorated and clean, very comfortable, everything worked and it was very conveniently situated for getting around.

We were fortunate with the weather and spent many days walking along the front and into the town; we went to San Remo one day to the market and walked along the coast nearly to Monte Carlo. We love our holidays to be relaxing, as both of us lead a busy life like many people, and by self catering we can come and go as we please.

The kitchen for me was excellent, it had everything I needed, we bought fresh fish or steak from the market and I tossed this in a pan most evenings, no fuss just a small salad with it etc, washed down with delicious local rose wine! The Patisserie Cigale was a godsend for our breakfast each morning with wonderful pastries on offer, so with a freshly brewed cup of coffee at your apartment and one of these wonderful breakfasts we were set up for our day!

We watched DVD’s and news on the TV during the evenings and found the equipment easy to use.

Adrian, we loved our stay, for us there was nothing you could improve on really.

Thank you for letting us use the apartment, we may well book it to use again in the future. We feel very honoured to have been the first people to use the apartment after your extensive renovations and hope that other clients continue to enjoy it as much as we did.
