The apartment is perfectly located on the Port of Nice. As you step out of the front door of the apartment building you are met with the fantastic sight of some of the worlds finest yachts next to traditional Nicois fishing boats. The port is one of the best areas in Nice for eating out. There is a wide selection of restaurants nearby. The nearest beach is approximately 300 meters away. There are bars and night clubs nearby but far enough away not to disturb the peace and quiet. Several main bus routes pass by the port, just a short walk from the apartment. This makes the rest of Nice very easy to get to. Nice is a perfect base from which to explore the rest of the Cote d'Azur and the Italian Riviera. The bus to Monaco stops just 300 meters from the apartment and runs every 20 minutes.

Nice at Easter

We stayed in this aparment over Easter and found it excellent value for money in relation to size and location. As we had a late flight we took a taxi which was 35 Euro but going home we took the bus from the harbour into Nice (Gare Rougerie) and then a bus to the airport which cost us 5Euro each.
The apartment was clean and tidy and there was everything there we needed. It is close to a lovely bakery and there are several small supermarkets within walking distance.
It was also nice to be able to walk out the front door and see the harbour and if you walk out the back door, turn right there is a lovely walk along the coast.
We found the apartment very handy regarding buses. They are excellent value at 1Euro a journey. Villefranche is about 15 mins by bus and was absolutely lovely and a further 15/20 mins along the coast was Monte Carlo - not to be missed. I would recommend doing a bit of research on the area as there is a lot to see.
There are plenty of local restuarants at the harbour and we visited these and had a loveky meal in them all, especially an italian restaurant close to the Irish pub.
We would recommend this apartment and we would also hope to go back. We really had a great holiday.

Great apartment

I can echo all the comments previously made about this apartment. There is no 'downside' to it.
We were a little surprised that the previous tenants had not left us any disposables - washing up liquid and more importantly - loo roll.
At one time we thought of driving to Nice. I'm glad we didn't. The roads are at saturation point and parking is a nightmare. If you go anywhere -Cannes, Monaco, parking is almost impossible. We used the train to Grasse (long climb up to the town) and Cannes. We took the bus to Monaco. Here, we approaced the Hotel de Paris from a space between two Bentleys. The top hatted doorman spotted us as we approached and opened the door for us, so we went in to use the loos. What he made of us exiting so soon afterwards carrying our Coke and packed lunches in a Waitrose plastic bag I would love to know.

Lovely apartment in fantastic location. What a surprise opening main door and stepping into beautiful courtyard, perfect. Apartment was clean and well maintained with towels and bedding prepared for arrival. Washing machine very handy.

Well placed for all attractions especially Le Chateau and Castel Plage which was quieter than beaches further down Promenade - no problems finding space. Lots of restaurants outside apartment but totally recommend Kookaburra - an australian restaurant just up from apartment- food absolutely delicious and staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Had excellent holiday and would recommend this apartment to anyone - first class!

Exceeded expectations

We found the apartment just as described, in the perfect location, clean and well maintained. What the owners should draw to attention in the description is the magnificent entrance to the apartment, once through the outside door you find yourself on a grand stairway looking at a wonderful terrace which is a brilliant start and end to everyday.

My five friends and I had a great time in Nice, enjoying everything it has to offer; sightseeing, beaches and night life. We found the folder which had been left by the owners very helpful- with details of local beaches, bus timetables and generally everything you would need to know for our week long stay.

We would recommend this apartment to anyone, I feel it is suitable for all types of holidays as long as you keep the noise down so as not to disturb the more residential neighbours.

Wonderful Nice

The apartment lived up to our expectations in every way. The description was very accurate. The location ideal. I loved the shuttered windows and the courtyard access. The air-conditioning system was great and kept the apartment cool especially during the night. The apartment was very clean and well furnished and everything you would need for 'a home from home' was there. Linen and towels were provided. The kitchen was well equipped and the washing machine was a bonus. Having a balcony is a great feature, just sit and watch the yachts coming and going and generally watch the world go by! The owners had thoughtfully provided beach mats and an umbrella which were very much appreciated as the weather was glorious. The owners had also provided a folder with details of local beaches restaurants etc. together with contact details if any problems arose - none did! I would definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend.
