After spending 10 nights in this apartment with my husband in July 09 just have to write a recommendation. The apartment itself is perfect for 2 people, good size and separate (air conditioned!) bedroom which is big bonus. Good kitchen facilities with a lovely balcony which gets the sun from morning until approx 4pm - perfect for reading a book with a nice chilled glass of rose! good selection of books and dvd's too. The apartment is on the 4th floor so be prepared for the steps, but think of how much good it does for your legs! Also, lovely bakery below for fresh breakfast and a supermarket just round the corner. Apartment is very central and 2 mins walk from the tramway so easy access to trains (to go to Monaco, Cannes or Antibes - waterpark, great fun for adults to you know!) and the rest of the city.
Great communication from the owner (I had a mini mishap and broke a mirror; owner very understanding and didnt take any money out of my deposit to replace, thanks Kieron!) and useful welcome pack provided.
If visiting Nice again I would definitely rent this apartment again and recommend to friends and family.
As for restaurants, take your pick! So many to choose from on the doorstep (old town is literally 2 minutes walk) so just take your time and choose a menu that takes your fancy!
The beach, it is lovely but i would def recommend jelly shoes as the stones can be quote sore on the foot.
Dont forget to take a walk round to the port, which I think gets a bit overlooked. Lovely yaughts to admire and some nice restaurants there too. Also within easy walking distance of the apartment. A trip up to the castle gardens is well worth the time (we took the lift - lazy!) But the views are amazing so bring your camera!
Over all, we were really pleased with the apartment. Definitely contributed to how mush we enjoyed our holiday. Bathroom and kitchen recently refurbished. Very comfortable. Great value for money!
