Bright, comfortable apartment in fabulous location in the most elegant section of Nice old town, 50m from Cours Saleya, 150m from the beach. Rue Benoit Bunico was chosen as part of the Vieux Nice rejuvenation in the 1980´s, and the apartment is located on the third floor of a quality, historic building, completly renovated by the city of Nice at that time. The street has become popular with tourists for its small artisan stores & benefits from on-street security cameras. The open marble stairway leads to an apartment benefitting from modernisation such as double glazing, while retaining traditional features such as window shutters. There is a large, walk-in wardrope off of the entrance hall, a living area with modern furnishings, a bedroom with double bed, a separate, fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with separate WC & full bathtub with shower. The apartment is ideal for those looking for a comfortable, safe, budget priced apartment in a perfect central location.

| Notes: | Although a studio, the sleeping area is separate from the living area & has a 3/4 pull-down blind for some privacy. Ideal for 2 persons, the 36 m2 apartment can accommodate 3, using the sofa bed, though it is not suitable for young children, being 3rd floor with full length windows. The living room also has a bookcase, armchair, TV with outside ariel, portable electric fan, & CD/tape/radio. There is even a mobile phone with French SIM card provided for guests' convenience. The kitchen has a full sized fridge/ freezer, cooker with oven, microwave oven, coffee-maker & a breakfast table with seating for two. An iron & ironing board are provided for guests' use, & there is a self service laundrette 2 minutes walk from the apartment. |
Queen of the Riviera
Nice took it´s place as the leading resort in the Cote dÁzur during the rise of tourism in the 19thC, when English travellers were charmed by the location on the Bay of Angels, the temperate climate & colourful old town facades. It has since enchanted many romantics, writers, poets &, especially, painters, who were inspired by the wonderful light of the city. Today, Nice continues to attract travellers for its unique atmosphere, location on the most beatiful coast of Europe & 300 days'sunshine a year. You can enjoy the old & new from your apartmnent in the heart of the old town. Wake to the sound of the bells of the ancient churches, step out of the apartment into the charming old streets & Italianate squares (Place Rosetti, next to the apartment, being one of the most typical), to buy breakfast in one of the wonderful boulangeries next to the apartment.
Cours Saleya
In 2 minutes of leaving the apartment you are standing in Cours Saleya with its famous markets of fruit, flowers & antiques. This is THE heart of the city, where locals & tourists alike sit in the cafes, restaurants & bars & enjoy the 'joie de vivre' for which the region is famous. Cross the Promenade from here & you are on the longest beach on the Cote dÁzur, still only 4 minutes walk from the appartment. Enjoy fine dining amidst the wonderful baroque architecture, and after dinner perhaps take in a performance at the Opera- still only 6 minutes walk from the apartment. Nice is also the cultural capital of the Cote dÀzure with opera & theatre as well as many museums dedicated to the artists who were drawn here. For evening entertainment, there is also the casino, as well as numerous outdoor bars, beach parties, nightclubs- all literally on your doorstep from Benoit Bunico.

What did you like?
Sheer accessibility of all facilities in the area.
We absolutely did not
need a car- wonderful! and restaurants of all prices
on the doorstep. It was
perfect for our needs- to be able to cater for
ourselves if we wanted to and
just relax or visit seaside shops museums etc
whenever we felt inclined. The
appartment was very well equipped and comfortable.
NO complaints whatsoever!
We have rarely had a holiday which was so much in
the heart of things with
such a variety of things to do.
