NICE CARNIVAL AVAILABILITY 13 February - 28 February. A light and airy apartment located in the centre of Nice adjacent to Galeries Lafayette and Avenue Jean Medecin, the main shopping street of Nice. It is just a stones throw away from the beach, the old town and the Massena pedestrian zone. Numerous cafes, bars and restaurants are just on your doorstep. The apartment is newly refurbished, with marble tiles in the living areas and wooden floors in the bedrooms. It is decorated in a contemporary style and contains all the essentials for a comfortable stay on the French Riviera. The living area contains a large sofa bed and two easy chairs, and a dining table and chairs with seating for 6. There is DVD, internet and cable TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with all mod cons. 2 quiet double bed rooms face onto an inner courtyard. The apartment is air-conditioned and heated, making it suitable for year round occupancy. It is an ideal base to discover Nice and the surrounding areas.

Situated on the second floor of an apartment building (with lift), on rue de l'Hotel des Postes, the apartment is just off the main shopping street of av. Jean Medecin opposite to Galeries Lafayette. In the immediate vicinity there are shops and restaurants, with the night life and buzz of the old town just a couple of minutes walk away. The beach on and Promenade des Anglais is a pleasant 5 minutes stroll away walking on the avenue Verdun by the side of the green Espace Massena. All the well known towns of the French Riviera for example, Monaco, Ville Franche, Eze, Menton, Cannes and Grasse, to name but a few, can easily be reached by bus or train, both the bus station and the train station are within easy walking distance. This is an ideal location for the Nice Carnival, Iron man competition in June, Monaco Grand Prix, Nice Jazz festival and Cannes Film Festival.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Prices are for the property per week in British pounds for 4/5 sharing, this is all inclusive - towels, linen and cleaning. There are no hidden costs. The apartment sleeps 4 plus additional child. Deposit of 30% required with booking. Full payment required minimum of 6 weeks before arrival. For bookings made within 8 weeks of arrival, the full amount is payable on confirmation. Payment can be made by inter bank transfer (preferred) in euros or GB pounds. We also accept checks in GB pounds and checks in Euros must be drawn on a French bank.
  • Part weeks considered outside peak periods (Jun - Sept). Arrivals are at a nominated time after 5pm. It may be possible to arrange times outside of this in advance - but this cannot be guaranteed. Checkout is 11:00am, although we try to accommodate other times if possible. A security/damage deposit of £200/300 Euros is payable before arrival. This will be returned directly to your home within two weeks of departure.
  • Your apartment will be cleaned for you on your arrival. Additional cleaning during your stay can be arranged and charged accordingly.

An inflatable mattress to accommodate an extra child can also be supplied as well as a travel cot.

Local Details: The apartment's central location means that whichever way you turn outside the building you are only seconds or minutes away from most amenities. The famous Galeries Lafayette is across the street and the Zone Pietonne (pedestrian) area across the street from that. The Old Town is a pleasant stroll away, past the fountains in the es pace Massena. Choose to eat out and you will be spoilt for choice for restaurants - the Old Town and the pedestrian zone contains restaurants for all tastes and pockets. Choose to eat in and the Galeries Lafayette or the Cours Saleya will provide you with fresh and gourmet foods. In the evening the street entertainment will keep you entertained. A short walk takes you to the bus station with destinations such as Cannes, Monaco, Menton, Grasse. The train station is a 10 minutes walk away.

Getting there : Nice Airport - Take the airport shuttle from bay 1 at Terminal 1 or Bay 5 at Terminal 2 (current cost 4.00euros) to Nice Centre. Admire the Bay des Anges on your right as the bus travels down the Promenade des Anglais. Take the first stop after the bus turns left off the Promenade Walk across the park and the new pedestrian square and you will see Galleries Lafayette on your right. Our street is just behind Galleries Lafayette. By taxi - cost around 28 euros. By Car: Take exit 50 from the A8 to Nice Centre Promenade des Anglais. Follow the Promenade des Anglais to the centre of town.
