Location:
The location is magic. Its central position means that whichever way you turn outside the building you are only seconds or minutes away from most amenities. Step outside and turn right to shop next door at Chanel. Continue to walk along the Zone Pietonne (pedestrian) area and watch the street entertainment. At the end of the Pietonne area you are in the Place Massena with the famous Galleries Laffayette and the Avenue Jean Medecin - the main shopping strip of Nice. Turn left and at the bottom of the street cross the Albert 1er gardens to walk into the old town, and visit the Cours Saleya with its famous flower market, or go right and promenade along the beach. Around the apartment are a large variety of restaurants for all tastes and pockets. The old town is also well known for its diverse range of restaurants and art. A short walk takes you to the bus stations with destinations such as Cannes, Monaco, Menton, Grasse. The train station is a short tram ride or 10 minutes walk away.
Getting there:
Nice Airport - Take the airport shuttle from bay 1 at Terminal 1 or Bay 5 at Terminal 2 (current cost 4.00euros) to Nice Centre. Admire the Bay des Anges on your right as the bus travels down the Promenade des Anglais. Take the first stop (Albert 1er) immediately after the bus turns left off the Promenade (Park on the corner). Cross the park and you are at the end of Rue Paradis. Walk 20 metres and you are at your destination.
By taxi - cost around 25-30 euro.
By Car: Take exit 50 from the A8 to Nice Centre Promenade des Anglais. Follow the Promenade des Anglais for approx 5 km. Hello Marion,
Just a quickie to say we had a lovely time in Nice last week, and the weather was perfect, coffee and lunches outside!! We had some superb meals out in the evening at the local restaurants, and shopping was so easy for food on the couple of evenings we stayed in and cooked. The apartment was great, and what a location, it couldn't have been better.
Sorry we didn't see you on the Friday you called. We had gone up to the Museum of Modern Art our second visit, there was so much to see there.
If we visit Nice again we would certainly use you apartment. Marlene and Allan
Hello Marion, Our stay at your flat in Nice was terrific. The location was great, with access to so much and a great central spot to take day trips. Your suggestions and all the information you provided in the Flat was a ready resource and we used it everyday when planning our adventures. It was a great place to come back to after exploring all day. Thank you so much.
