Nice apartment rental: Located on the 3rd floor of a beautifully maintained building complete with two lifts. The property enjoys stunning views of the hills of Nice and offers a very restful setting for your holiday whilst being ideally situated to enjoy the city centre and beach life of Nice itself or to explore the delights of Cannes, Monaco, Villefranche and Ventigmiglia. The apartment, located in the Upper Musicians quarter of Nice, affords the opportunity of living in the midst of the local community itself, whilst at the same time allowing you to enjoy the tourist side of Nice and the Promenade des Anglais (within 5 minutes via new tram system). The restaurants within this quarter cater for all tastes and cultures. In the space of a week you can dine Japanese, traditional French, Italian, Lebanese, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and no doubt many others which I have not yet discovered. This Nice apartment rental is a superb base for all requirements.

For anyone wishing to enjoy all the attractions that Nice has to offer and at the same time sample the delights of the many other beautiful locations along the whole Cote D'azur, then the apartment on Avenue Auber is the ideal vacation site. During your stay, you can enjoy both a wonderful holiday and a real sense of community from living amongst the Nicoise themselves. Fresh bread, fruit and vegetables can be bought every day from the street markets which are only a few minutes from the building. Enjoy breakfast or lunch with the locals as opposed to tourists in the many local bars, cafes and restaurants, whilst at the same time being only a few minutes reach of all the accepted tourist attractions. It is nice to enjoy all the usual hustle and bustle of the activity down in the old town, but it is also nice to be able to retreat from it when you want to and enjoy a more sedate pace of life if you choose. At Avenue Auber you can do both as and when you please

Explore the Azur by Rail: The apartment is conveniently located only a few minutes walk of the main national station, the Gare SNCF (NICE) and local regional station to the Lower Alps. Both stations give those who wish to enjoy the splendours of Provence easy access to the tourist destinations of Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, Cannes and St Tropez to the west and Monte Carlo, Monaco, Menton and Italy to the east. The regional railway service can take you up to the lower Alps for hillwalking or to visit the enchanting fortified town of Entrevaux or the spa town of Digne. This is an absolutely wonderful journey as the 2 carriage train takes you up a steep-climb on leaving Nice and thunders along at a good pace through and over some 40 viaducts, tunnels and bridges and you become entranced by the magnificent vista of the Alps ahead of you in the distance.

Explore the Azur by Bus: The local bus station is only 10 minutes away and the service runs to Grasse, the perfume capital of Provence and the delightful medieval fortified town of St Paul de Vence. This is a beautiful village (village perche) high on the hills where it appears time stands still and where from the battlements you can overlook the valley down below. The bus journey to St Paul takes about 40 minutes and stops at the local towns on the way but its well worth it when such a stunning location awaits. The restaurant, the Columbe D'Or has an international reputation which attracts the rich and famous. The bus journey to Cannes from the same station is currently only 1 euro per person! So well worth the coastal journey.

Explore the Azur by Car: There are a number of national car rental agencies at the rail station (Gare SNCF)offering hire including HERTZ and AVIS. Car parking spaces in Nice are somewhat difficult to come by but with the agencies nearby a day trip is a worthwhile excursion. You can take in the village of Gordoun and the dramatic Gorges du Loup or up to the ski-slopes at Chamonix.

Close to main railway station.
Clean building

Very small living room / lounge area
TV needs repaired
Owner's Response: A new lounge sofa was purchased at the end of July to ensure a more comfortable living room/lounge area for future guests.The tv is now in good working order.Also works were undertaken by the building landlords on the main lift,which has been upgraded.

Excellent apartment for exploring the cote d'azur

Excellent position for the train station therefore exploring the cote d'Azur very easy. We wanted this locations beause we love to explore and get about. 5 minutes walk from excellent shops and the tram that will take you to the sea front and the old town. Apartment was clean, comfortable and the agent was very helpful. The owner provided excellent information before we arrived making the stay hassle free. This is very important. Overall a good standard of accomodation although not your 'romantic' hideaway!

A great Base for exploring the Cote D'Azur

I have just stayed in this apartment for 4 nights and found it to be a great base for exploring the Cote D'Azur as it's within 2 minutes walk of the main train station. The apartment is very conveniently situated a short walk from the airport shuttle bus stop which means that you can benefit from cheap transfer costs too. The flat is bright, clean and spacious and was the perfect accommodation for my friend and I to explore Nice and the surrounding towns.
The kitchen is well equipped so it's possible to prepare your own meals if you don't want to eat out every day.

This apartment provided good value for money particularly good for visitors travelling by train. Description was accurate, the property was clean and well maintained as was the whole building. The owner provided an excellent folder of information both for the apartment and activities and attractions in the area.A trip on the narrow gauge railway to Digne(we only went as far as the medieval town of Entrevaux)and a visit to St Paul de Vence,both recommended.Very easy to travel along the coast by train, the section between Cannes and St Raphael particularly picturesque.
A family of three had a very good holiday.
