The apartment has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard and certainly has the wow factor with its lovely oak floor and modern furniture, vast open plan sitting room,flat screen cable TV & DVD player,fully equipped American kitchen includes dishwasher,within classical building facing quiet courtyard off Nice's main central avenue.The moment you leave the apartment you have immediate access to Nice's best shops, cinemas & restaurants,5 minutes to main line station with regular services to Monte Carlo (Grand Prix),Villefrance, Beaulieu, Eze, Antibes,Cannes and even Italy.In easy walking distance to the beach, the fabulous Promenade des Anglais,off Place Massena is the pedestrian area that runs down rue Massena off here you will find Chanel,Armani,Louis Vu iton to name but a few!I think the best restaurants are here so dont miss it! Then of course the not to be missed old town with its interesting markets and lots of restaurants, then up to the Chateau for breathtaking views

Nice is on the glorious French Riviera, miles of wonderful beach, a port with amazing yachts to look at, seafood restaurants, a beautiful walk. The 'old town' is a famous landmark, it is a flower market one day, food another and even antiques on another. The beach is a great walk away past great food and wine shops, picking up delicious goodies for the beach picnic and wonderful sunbathing. Nice retains all the charm and grandeur of a by gone time with the excitement of nightclubs, great boutiques, superb restaurants and fascinating people to watch while sipping a drink outside a cafe. As for day trips it can not be beaten, Cannes, Antibes, Monte Carlo, Eze village, San Remo (Italy) and THE MUST GO TO market in Vintimille (the Italian border).

  • The prices indicated are per week and will be adjusted for short stays to be decided between ourselves before booking. The prices quoted are a general indication, but CARNIVAL, CANNES FESTIVAL, GRAND PRIX, EASTER and CHRISTMAS, HALF TERM etc. are a little higher.The price is based on up to 4 people sharing if you are 5 or 6 please let me know and I will let you know IF there is an extra charge. There is a security deposit of £250, refundable, provided that the apartment is left as it is found, clean and undamaged.
  • We ask for a 25% non refundable deposit with the booking, the final payment to be made 8 weeks before departure.

  • One shower room is ensuite and the other is separate, they are tiled all the way up, there is a normal shower, plus a rain shower. The mirror has spotlights on the top, which are very flattering.

LOVELY PLACES TO VISIT IN AND AROUND NICE: Monte Carlo is a short train journey away passing or stopping at Villefranche, Beaulieu and Eze continuing on through Monaco to the Italian border to the famous Friday market of Ventimile, BARGAINS GALORE, change here to proceed into Italy and the picturesque San Remo. In the other direction the train goes to Cannes, stopping at St Laurent du Var, where there is a massive shopping centre, a day there is brilliant if you have had enough of shopping, come out and there is a lovely beach around the corner, continue along and there are about 100 restaurants to choose from, on route the train passes through Antibes and St Juan le Pins.

SKIING IN WINTER: There is a modern ski resort about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Nice, Isola 2000 it is well maintained and opens 10 December and closes the 23 April (approximately). The coach goes from the Gare (rail station). There is also a ski-school for children between 4- 6 years. Valberg is 1700 and and opens the 3rd December, (approximately) the coach leaves from the Gare Routiere (coach station) there is also a helicopter, I have the phone number should anyone want it! Its around a 2 hour drive to Italy to Limone, this resort is very popular with people I have met.

Other Activities: Lots of museums and art galleries, opera house, fab shops and the markets

Nice bright spacious modern apartment in central location, just off main shopping area.

Excellent standard of accommodation.

Only 5 mins walk to the old town for lovely restaurants and to the beach.

Perfect for railway station and close to airport.

Apartment is ideally located for all those shopaholics attracted to the best designer labels.

Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to stay in the Cote d'Azur.

Communication from the owner and her team was friendly and extremely helpful and would be more than happy to rent other properties from this owner in the future.
Owner's Response: Most of my guests are a pleasure to deal with and the team and myself enjoying communicating with our guests and we are more than willing to answer any questions you may have. The sitting room is lovely modern and very spacious and the location is ideal for exploring Nice and surrounding Beauty Spots!! I look forward to hearing from you!

Fantatic Apartment

We stayed in this apartment for a week and it was fantastic.

We were met by Ellie’s representative who was lovely and gave us some great tips on Nice. The apartment was spacious and well equipped. Ellie really has made this an apartment a home away from home. She has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

It is also in a perfect location for the tram, train station and the bus station is a 15 minute stroll away.

There are a number of steps up to the apartment and we had a 3 month old baby with us and a pushchair however this was not a problem as there is a secure area on the ground floor where we could lock the pushchair away.

The supermarket Monoprix is right on the doorstep and Galeries Lafayette is about a 5 minute walk away.

We had a really lovely time in Nice and I would totally recommend staying at this apartment. We will definitely use the apartment when we return to Nice.

We stayed in the appartment in October and it lived up to all expectations.
Friendly communications with both owner and representative in Nice.
Very clean and well-maintained and the main living area was very spacious.
Great central location in the main shopping area but yet it was very quiet both day and night.
A 5min walk from the main railway station meant it was literally 20 mins from the airport and proved to be so handy for day trips by train to eg Antibes(15 mins) and Villefranche(6 mins!)
Old town and the beach were a 10 to 15 min walk so we didn't bother with the trams. Loads of great restaurants within easy walking.
Note for anyone with younger children -wonderful toyshop further down Avenue Notre Dame called Contesso- our boys could have spent all day there!
Great holiday and ideal appartment from which to explore the city. Would definitely recommend.

Great location fabulous apartment

Just back from our first visit to this apartment and want to add our recommendation to all the others - great apartment in really convenient location close to shops, beach, restaurant and everyone concerned very friendly and helpful throughout.
.
Exchange rate makes eating and drinking really expensive but French cuisine is worth it!!

Conversely, transport really cheap. We visitied St Paul de Vence - a one hour ride from Nice bus station - pretty village set in the hillside with lovely cobbled streets and arty shops - cost one euro each way per person!! Train ride to Monaco just over 6 euros return and lots of little places to stop off and see along the way! Train ride to Cannes (and a lovely sandy beach) around 11 euros return. Trams just outside apartment very useful when the temperature is so high and it is uncomfortable to walk too far - cost a few euros each.

One word of warning - this August it was very hot and the nights can prove very uncomfortable, especially if the mosquitos take a liking to you!! Suggest locating the fans and mosquito net very quickly!!!

Beautiful Apartment in Great Location

We stayed in this apartment in May. We found the apartment an excellent base being close to the train station for trips to Monaco & Cannes and also bus service to the airport. It was also in walking distance to the beach. The apartment was well equipped, very clean and finished to a high standard. We would definately stay here again. The owner was also very obliging in organsing our late arrival.
