'Maioun Casteu' Our luxury (our daughter says we should call it 'boutique') and very spacious (NON SMOKING) one bedroomed fourth floor apartment is in one of the nicest streets in the very heart of the Vielle Ville of Nice. A lift whisks you high up among the roofs where it is bright, airy and full of light . It is just round the corner from the beautiful Place Rossetti and it's bars restaurants and famous ice cream shop and Baroque Cathedral. Only 200 metres stroll from the beach and the famous Cours Saleya Market. It is even closer to the lovely park on the 'Chateau Hill' It is perfect for a romantic short or longer break at any time of year (Nice gets 320 days of sunshine) You do not need a car as the airport bus (3 euros each way) stops at the Gare Routiere only 100 meters away and with the new tramway system access all over Nice is quick and easy and the bus system is excellent. The bedroom is quiet and cool at the back of the apartment with a 'juliette' balcony.

Spacious (NON SMOKING) one bedroomed fourth floor apartment in the very heart of the old town of Nice. It is just round the corner from Place Rossetti and it's bars restaurants and Cathedral. Only 200 metres from the beach and the famous Cours Saleya Market. 100 metres from the airport bus stop (30 minutes trip) and the gardens on the Chateau Hill, The Port is just a short walk away and the whole of Old Nice is full of restaurants of every type, tiny shops and galleries, theatres, jazz bars, delicatessens and in the main shopping streets 100 metres away are all the famous shops for the serious shopaholic! No need for a car you can get a bus to all of the main sights in the area from the bus station 100 metres away.

There is a large dresser, elegant dining table and chairs, two full sized sofas, traditional bow fronted Provencal chest of drawers with large mirror over. Nice is a lovely place to visit at all times of year, it is generally mild in autumn and spring and even at Christmas we have sat outside in shirt sleeves. There is lots to do for all tastes. The Old Town is more like an Italian Village than the oldest part of a large city. It has more galleries than anywhere outside Paris and more restaurants of every type than our guests can experience in many visits. Stroll along the famous Promenade Anglais, walk among the ruins on the Castle Hill and gaze at the stunning views over the Baie des Anges; Shop till you drop; then enjoy a romantic candlelit meal at the 'Tire Bouchon' - our favourite among many, then return to the apartment to enjoy one of the DVDs in our library selection. View the Monets and Dufy's in the Musee des Beaux Arts or the modern art in MAMAC or the Matisse Museum

Other Activities: eating, drinking, museums, galleries, shopping, and really chilling!

If you want to stay in a lively part of the city but still be able to sleep at night ,this is the flat for you.It's a superbly equipped flat in a very convenient location.It's right in the heart of the old town, 5mins from the bus station and 5mins to the beach.Shops, market and restaurants are all handy.We've already booked to return!!

An appartment that offers everything!

My husband and I have just returned from Nice and the appartment offered everything that anybody could wish for - even cookery books, guide books and a dictionary and lots of information about the area and recommendations for restaurants, etc.! It is ideally located in the old town near to restaurants, cafes, the beach and the amazing daily market. The airport bus drops you within minutes of the appartment and the train service to beaches along the Riviera is excellent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. It's ideally situated in the old town, in a street that's generally quiet (we only heard some late night noise from the bars on the Friday and Saturday nights). There are loads of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops and a fantastic fruit market within minutes. The bus station and tram stop are also very close by. We loved being able to walk to the market to get fresh food, have a leisurely lunch at the apartment before wandering down to the beach or hiring bikes on the sea front.
