Self catering apartment situated in the heart of the Old Town with its daily markets and numerous cafes, restaurants and bars. The apartment has stunning panoramic sea views and is situated directly opposite the beach. The apartment has own-door access at street level and is accessed by a short flight of stairs to the first floor. There is a fully fitted kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, oven, hob, fridge/freezer) with french doors to the balcony. There is a very large open plan living room/dining room with picture windows giving extensive sea views. The apartment is fully air conditioned and there is a TV & DVD. There are two double bedrooms and a family bathroom with separate bath and shower cubicle.

The “Ponchettes” are one of the landmarks of Old Nice, classified for protection as an historical and architectural treasure. Dating from the 18th century the apartment is situated among the arcades and terraces that make up the Ponchettes. The apartment has beautiful views over the Baie des Anges (Bay of Angels), with a shingle beach directly opposite and the old castle is a short stroll away. Also on your doorstep is the Promenade des Anglais - Nice's famous seafront esplanade. It's 6km long and is a fantastic place for a stroll or you can hire a bicycle or rollerblade up and down. The Cours Saleya with its famous flower market, cafes and restaurants is less than a minutes walk from the house. Nearby there are also some excellent speciality shops, art galleries and museums (Musee Matisse, Musee des Beaux Arts, Musee d'Art Moderne et Contemporain).

If the booking is taken within 8 weeks of commencement, then full payment will be required at time of booking.

  • Cancellation: You or any member of your party may cancel your booking at any time. My friends and I had a fabulous week at the apartment, it was idealy situated for either using the bus, train or boat (which we tried all with no problems) to visit other locations on the coast. Also being close to the Old Town there was always plenty to see and do, with some amazing restaurants. We found a very small mitchelin 2star which did not break the bank to eat there and we had a special memorable last evening of our holiday there.
The apartment was clean and spacious for us four ladies, and there was a very helpful agent on hand for any problems or queries we had. We also had the bonus of being there on Bastille day, we didn't have to move from the apartment and sat on the balcony to watch the magnificent firework display over the bay of Angels.
We will definatly be visiting Nice again and will not hesitate to book the apartment, we have also recommended it to our friends and family.

The apartment is situated right across from the beach with terrific views over the bay. There's quite a bit of traffic on the main street outside, but the bedrooms are located at the rear of the building, so no problem sleeping at night. The main living area is spacious, with a sofa bed for additional guests. The kitchen is relatively modern and well equipped. The apartment is well maintained, very clean and has fabulous air conditioning. Highly recommended.

Great location, wonderful views

This is a great base to enjoy Nice, especially the scenic old town. We stayed with teenagers, who loved the the short walk to the beach and to Wayne's Bar. We loved the short stroll to the market and literally dozens of restaurants.
It just needed to be slightly cleaner when we arrived to be absolutely perfect.
When we return to Nice, this will certainly be our first choice.

This apartment is perfection, in my mind; perfectly renovated, quiet, and in the best location imaginable. Having coffee on the sea-facing terrace in the morning was indeed a treat. The Ponchettes are lovely little houses built for fishermen between 1750 and 1790. Ours had been modernized beautifully while retaining its fabulous bones. The bath was gorgeous, the beds super comfy, the lounge airy and comfortably furnished, and the air conditioning quiet.
One can walk down the street to the Cours Saleya to purchase the most beautiful local food I've ever seen. Or cross the street to the beach. Or stroll through Old Town and have a pastis. The possibilities are endless, and just out the door of the most adorable little house (it was plenty roomy for the four of us, though) I've ever had the pleasure to stay in.
The managing agent Sarah Jane, could not have been lovelier or more helpful.
Although the dining options are endless, my favorite meal was at Papayou on Rue de la Prefecture, about 2 blocks behind the apartment in Old Town. The menu is small but everything is really well-executed; it was also inexpensive. The owners apparently visit Southeast Asia every year, and although there are traditional Nicoise dishes on the menu, there are also spicy Thai dishes that were incredible.(the french seem to be afraid if chilis, so you have to ask).

Dear Maire,
The appartment was just perfect! Clean, nicely decorated, great views over the ocean and in a great location. A 2 minute walk to market and restaurants, walking distance to all main attractions and right on the beach. It also has a small balcony which looks over the ocean and is just lovely for happy hour or a stay in dinner, fresh from the morning markets. We loved it. Phill and Sue.
