Completely refurbished in 2007, the apartment is located in the high-class area of Cimiez, famous for its gardens and XIXth century mansions. It is located within 5 minutes walking distance to the Chagall and Matisse Museums, 10 minutes to the the Old Town, 15 minutes to the city centre, 20 minutes to the Cours Saleya beach.

The condominium itself is located in the middle of several parks, in the heart of the Cimiez luxury area, well known for the XIXth-century hotels and mansions built for the British gentry (nearby hotel 'Regina' used to host Queen Victoria).

Mountaineering: For mountain-lovers, the surrounding 'Alpes Maritimes' are easy to reach by car, bus or train, and offer superb walks and spectacular scenarios combining old villages, pine tree forests, exotic gardens and steep cliffs falling into the blue sea.

Close-by visits and festivals: Nice is 20 minutes train away from the Italian border, from Cannes and its famous Film Festival (May), as well as from Monaco and its Grand Prix (May), and from Juan-les-Pins and its Jazz and Fireworks festivals (July). Nice also hosts a well-known Caranaval (second half of February) and Cimiez Jazz festival (in the olive tree garden of Musee Matisse, June).

This apartment is set in a very nice part of Nice. We spent a week there in July when the weather was gorgeous. Everything we needed was there and the place was comfortable enough for one week. The little enclosed garden allows for private sunbathing when the sun is at it's highest and for eating al fresco when not out and about. Local shops handy and Nice itself is easy to walk to - buses also excellent and cheap. Jump on a train to Monte Carlo for the day - 20mins. I had bad mosquito bites so take repellant with you if you get a bad reaction to them like I do
