Superbly renovated flat in the heart of Nice’s historic old town. South facing. Renovated with care with typical shuttered windows, beamed ceilings and thick walls. A spacious living-dining area, with two settees and marble dining table, means you can enjoy the rooftop views across the sea. The flat has a stereo system, flat screen TV/ DVD. Broadband internet is available too. A well-equipped kitchen, with its beamed ceiling and turquoise tiles means that self-catering doesn’t have to be a chore. The dishwasher, microwave, hob, overhead extractor fan and washing machine- tumble dryer make life easier. The main bedroom, under the eaves has a forged iron double bed and romantic views of the Castle waterfall. The second bedroom has a comfortable double bed and is bright and airy with its rooftop skylight. A third sleeping area is the relaxing mezzanine, with a queen size bed and single bed. The brand-new bathroom is stylish and comfortable with thermostat shower, basin and toilet.

Superb location in the heart of charming historic Old Town of Nice, south facing & quietly situated on the 5th floor of a 17th century Nicoise building. Typical shuttered windows, thick walls and beamed ceilings, and all round roof top views,of the Castle, azure sea & across to the Baie des Anges. Just off the Cours Saleya Market Place, where you can browse between the fruit and flowers, or people watch at one of the many cafés and restaurants. Only 1 minute from the Promenade des Anglais and the beach . There is every sort of small shop for local wine, cheese and pasta within a few minutes of the apartment. Or you can indulge in one of the many restaurants. Music lovers will find festivals and concerts of all types, or you can visit some of the architectural splendours of the city and its museums and art galleries. During the winter, a regular bus service means you are only 90 minutes from excellent skiing. You are just a 5 minute walk from the Acropolis Convention centre.

Lots to do for everyone: Local Bus and train stations within 10 minutes walk means that Cannes and Monte Carlo are easily reached. City Centre Shopping and designer shops a leisurely stroll away. For culture nothing beats Nice : the Modern Art Museum, Chagall Museum and renown Matisse Museum. Visit the perfume makers at Grasse. There are two cinemas showing English films and on the Place Garibaldi the famous Oyster bar serves fabulous fresh seafood all day. During the summer you can catch up with one of the many music festivals (Jazz and classical). Sailing water skiing diving and other water sports readily available. Take a ferry to Corsica or a boat trip to the Islands off Cannes. Roller blades & cycles can be hired and don’t forget to stroll along the Promenade des Anglais. Good Golf Courses at Mougins. Get off the beaten track and take a small local train to visit the amazing mountain villages just behind Nice .

Easy to get to : Most European Airports connect to Nice Airport. For those not wishing to increase their 'carbon footprint' note that with Eurostar from London via Lille direct to Nice, or the overnight sleeper service from Calais to Nice - it's never been nearer. It's easy to do without a car here. The flat can be easily reached by taxi (10mins) or a cheap and frequent bus service which drops you at the bus station only 10 minutes from the apartment.

Spent one week here at the beginning of October. Great central location just off Cours Saleya and 1 minute to beach. Lots of restaurants, shops and markets in the area. Apartment is welling fitted out. Be aware that it is at the top of a building with no elevator so you will need to be able to manage the stairs. No problem with noise from the street. Would consider again.

CENTRALLY LOCATED APARTMENT IN NICE

We spent 5 nights in the apartment in Nice. Information and directions provided by the owner were most helpful and we had no difficulty in picking up the key. The apartment is situated on the top floor and as such is probably not suitable for the elderly as there is no lift installed. Also hauling large quantites of baggage up the stairs could be a problem. However the apartment itself is spacious, clean and provides everything you could want to make your stay comfortable. It is perfectly located in the old part of Nice, close to restaurants, bars and only a short walk away from the promenade and beach. I would not hesitate to stay here on another occasion and would recommend it to friends and family.

Very nice apartement in the lively old town. Three minutes to the beach and five minutes to the bus station, the best restaurant and pub we visited in our trip just around the corner. The apartement in itself is typically French and cosy, relatively newly renovated. On the negative side: the stairs, a bit humid and smelly bathroom and the air-condition. However, the location is so good that we would like to come back next time we are in Nice.

(+) Spacious, charming, well equipped (great kitchen!), TV, Internet, nice rooftop views, plenty of sleeping space, extremeley well located, near sea, restaurants & shops.

(-) Lots of steps to reach apartment, mezzanine sleeping area not usable in very hot weather.

Overall - a great apartment in a great location!

I spent a lovely time in this beautiful apartment with my husband and 2 girls. It is beautifully decorated, pretty and wonderfully located in the heart of the vieux Nice. The advantage is that it is on a quiet street which is a must in the city with all the restaurants and bars. We highly recommend it.
