The apartment offers a unique vantage point from which to watch the village life go by and visit its myriad of cafes, shops, restaurants and street markets. It's a magical setting, particularly at night when the square comes alive with the twinkling lights and chinking glasses of the cafe scene below. In the morning wake up to the smell of fresh coffee and newly baked bread and croissants. The ideal getaway for a couple looking to experience the sights and sounds of this romantic Cote d'Azur village.

A spacious 55 sq m apartment overlooking the Place des Arcades, the picturesque square in the medieval village of Valbonne. Newly renovated this year, this spacious apartment consists of a fully-equipped kitchen area with fridge, cooker, hob, microwave, washing machine etc., a lovely high-ceilinged living room with comfy sofas and double sofabed, and a traditional wrought iron dining table for four overlooking the square. There are high ceilings with French windows leading out onto a typical 'Romeo and Juliet' balcony. From the living room, a couple of steps lead town into a beautiful bedroom suite with a Provencal-style double bed and en-suite power shower bathroom. The bedroom is located at the back of the apartment overlooking the quieter Rue Emile Pourcel making it cooler and quieter at night. The apartment is equipped with all mod cons including Sky satellite TV, French TV, DVD player plus films, music system, and wireless broadband internet connection.

Located right in the historic heart of Valbonne, the apartment benefits from having everything on the doorstep. There are at least 12 restaurants within walking distance and numerous cafes and bars as well as potteries and craft shops. Friday is market day in Valbonne when the village comes alive with hundreds of stalls selling artifacts, cheeses and wines of the region. Then the first Sunday of each month Valbonne hosts the region's 'brocante' bringing together antiques and bric-a-brac sellers from all around. Originally the Roman settlement of Vallis Bona, Valbonne is a picturesque medieval town with narrow streets and traditional stone and painted houses. It is ideally situated between the Alps and the Mediterranean and benefits from easy access to both being on 20 minutes from Cannes, Anibes and the beaches of the coast and half an hour from Nice airport. There's plenty to see and do including golf (9 courses within 15 minutes), tennis, riding, cycling and magnificent walks.

In addition, in the living room there is a double sofa bed suitable for two children or adults, so the apartment can sleep a couple or 4 people comfortably.

Located in the heart of the town, the location was fantastic to roll out of a very comfortable bed, walk out the front door and have breakfast, or dinner. The apartment was clean and bright, the noise from the square can be noisy but the windows are insulated with double glass so once shut, only very little noise. The one issue that the agent didn't tell us was that there was a water leak from the apartment above that leaked into our bathroom. Our call to the agent was never returned, so we placed a large bowl under the leak. Short of that, we had a great time in the apartment and the town.
