The Cote d'azur offers many activities and from the property it can be experienced at its very best, with the beauty of the surrounding hilltop villages and the Loup valley on your doorstep, with the many sporting activities that the immediate area offers, but the hustle and bustle of Nice (20 minutes by car) and Cannes(25m) far enough away to allow you the tranquillity and Peace of this beautiful region but close enough to enjoy the beaches, shopping and sightseeing that the coast has to offer. There are olive presses and provencal markets close by. The perfumeries of Grasse 10 minutes away. (Galimard, Fragonard and Molinard), Vence (museums) and St Paul de Vence with their fortified walls, history, art galleries and shops 15 minutes away. Valbonnes lovely Friday market 15 minutes away. Biot (glass blowing )and weekly market 20 min away. Ferrys (daily) to St Tropez and the Lerin islands can be taken from Cannes. Stunning Gorge du Verdon canyon 1hr40. Monaco 45 minutes. Italy 1hr.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Prices include all bedlinen, bath towels AND pool towels.
    Xmas and new year weeks includes some logs for fire, Xmas decorations and Xmas tree.
    We provide a general clean at the end of each rental period in readiness for the next clients, but we expect the property to be left in the same clean condition as upon arrival. If you do not wish to do the final clean, this can be arranged in advance
    We provide a clean once each week, mid-stay for 2 week rentals with a weekly bedlinen change. Towels are washed by the client during
    the stay.
    We can provide full catering service by request for the whole week or dates by arrangement or we can provide chefs, waiting staff for parties and functions,
    drivers etc.
    Extra cleaning can be arranged in advance.
  • There is a supplement of 250 euros for bookings between 1st May and 28th June when Le mas Casteunou and La Caleche are booked together.
  • Balances due a minimum of 8 weeks before arrival. 12 weeks before for bookings of 3 weeks or longer. TRAVEL INSURANCE should be purchased at the time of booking. No refunds made under any circumstances

This property more than fulfilled our expetations. We were received by the hosts (Laura and Mark) that has prepared our stay in the best possible manner. The house was great, in good condition and with a wonderful view. Can only recommend this rental for other large groups.

The perfect spot

You couldn't wish for a more perfect spot in which to relax and enjoy all that the Cote d'Azur has to offer. My girls adored the pool and the house and terraces are perfect for lazy days and barbecues under the stars. The house is equipped with everything you could wish for and is perfectly situated for exploring the moutains and coast. The nearby village of le Bar sur Loup oozes character and history, with three great restaurants to choose from and it's easy to get further afield . A wonderful place to relax and chill out.

the most amazing holiday

We are now back in Blighty wishing we were still in your beautiful villa. We were very lucky to have 2 weeks of unrelenting good weather while the Uk had the wettest August since records began. We left pretty early on the Saturday and I remembered on the way to the airport that we hadn't put an entry in the visitors book.
If we had it would have been something like : We have had the most amazing holiday in le mas Casteunou - we all agreed that the website photos did not do it justice and usually it is the other way round. We had a varied time having lovely lazy days at the villa, although competing to see how many lengths could be done was daily occurrence (official record was 200 by Jack our 15 yr old), and eating out lots including at the restaurant in Bar sur Loup for our 11 year old's birthday and also the pizza restaurant both to eat in and for take aways. We ventured as far as Frejus for the skate park which more than impressed our skateboarder, and to Les Pecheurs in Juan les Pins for a bit of luxury on the beach. We had several trips to Nice and some of us went to the contemporary Art Museum which was fantastic. Eating by the Flower Market in the old town in Nice was also a highlight as well as eating in St Paul de Vence. I could go on but we are just about to win another gold in the Olympics...
