The villa is just meters from La Croisette, the seaside boulevard in Cannes. The palm lined Croisette is home to the Ports, parks, beach restaurants, and boutiques. We are at the Palm Beach end of the Croisette, a skip from the Baoli, L'Ecrin, Bijou plage. This is the more upmarket, residential end of the Croisette, yet still just a 10 minute stroll along the seaside brings you to the Martinez, boutiques, and the heart of Cannes glitz. Cannes is on the French Riviera, 30 minutes drive from Nice. The closest beach to the Villa is sandy, Bijou Plage, and just meters from the house. You could run there in less than 1 minute, or stroll there with young ones in a few minutes. On the otherside of the villa you have Place de l'Etang. This is a traditional french square, with seafood restaurants, petanque courtes, and a village feel. For congresses, the villa offers an oasis of calm, space to entertain, and to do work, whilst being skipping distance to the Festival.

Bedrooms: The bedrooms can be set up for doubles, or with 2 single beds. The beds are composed of 2 zipped mattresses, thus, if you wish, you can separate the beds to make 2 singles. Area: While you are in the heart of Cannes, and 50 meters from La Croisette (which is a palm lined boulevard running along the sea front with beach, shops and restaurants) we are on a private road, which is only open to residents, thus the setting is quiet. Beach & Water: Beaches both public and private are 100 meters away and have clean wonderful sand and water. There is a small built in basin on the patio that operates like an outdoor bath tub / plunge pool for little ones. There is a teak cover for the basin for when not in use. We are by Bijou beach, or Jewel beach, known to have the best water in area with both public & private acces

Please contact us to read and see more about the area some local attractions on our web site- as well as recommendations from prior guests. You are walkable to superb restaurants, including the Palme d'Or, Fred Escailler (great fresh fish) on Place d'Etang where there is a la boule area, Baoli a hip nightclub and restaurant at the port, L'Ecrin at bijou plage, plus all the restaurants at Cannes. We have many festival guests who appreciate the house, especially if their family is joining them, or if they want to entertain or work from the house. Our management company can help you out in this area.

Water Activities

The water quality is rated 10/10 at Bijou Plage, our closest beach, just 100 meters from the house. The beach is sandy, and drops off gently, thus good for children. In summer there is a diving platform one can swim out to. Only the hardy swim year around. Sailing is a 3 minute walk from the house. There are a few places to rent a Hobi Cat or windsurfer from. They also have Pedlo boats. Thierry does water skiing for people of all ages. (Our daughter has been going since age 4.) You should book early in morning when it is calm. He is located at the pontoon across from the Miramar on the Croisette. He gets in the water and skis next to you, lifting you out of the water, then holding your ski to steady you. Thus you learn to ski before you have to learn to start to ski! Take a rental boat or ferry to Isle Lerins. Here the water is turquoise, and there is a nature reserve. The local Monks produce a top rated white wine called Des Moines.

Tennis

There is tennis at Tennis Club de Cannes 11, Rue Lacour Tel 04 93 43 58 85 It is just behind the Martinez hotel, a short 10 minute walk away, or 1 minute by car.
