The 'Mas de l'Origan' is a renovated farmhouse, set in a magnificent fenced 2700 m2 flat ground with total privacy, nice views to the historic eagle-nest village Cabris, 800m distance to the 'village provençal' of Peymeinade, 400m distance to the supermarket, 4km to Grasse, 16km to Cannes. In the garden a panoply of typical provençal trees and flowers, more than 200 years old olive trees, three idyllic terraces around the house with 6 tables, a very well equipped outside summer kitchen, BBQ, garden house 16sqm with shower, WC. The heated swimming-pool (11 x 5m) with 3 entrance steps is fenced. Next to it a table tennis and a petanque alley. This large villa, 270m2 living space, is perfect for 2 families: sitting room, large kitchen with fire place and dining area for six, 20 m2 veranda-room with sliding doors and dining table until 10. More photos are available. Please note that we are unable to accept bookings for weddings or parties as the villa is situated in a residential area.

In former times, until 1950, the Mas de l'Origan has been a farm with a wide land around, producing olive oil and cultivating roses and jasmine for the perfumeries in Grasse. Since, the old farmhouse has been sold with a land of 2700m2 flat ground, enlarged and restored respecting the old Provençal style. The oldest part of the villa is the east/south wing: entrance, sitting-room with beamed ceilings, a very cozy double-kitchen with fireplace and dining area, veranda-room with sliding doors, table until 10 seats, 1 large bedroom, en suite bathroom, wc. First floor : 2 bedrooms with en suite bathroom, wc. Here is the connexion with the new north/west extension with 3 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms each with w-c, a terrace. The villa is harmoniously furnished with a mix of Provençal style and antique furniture. A small garden house is equipped with a shower-room, w-c. Next the pool area a perfect fitted and covered outside summer kitchen with 2 fridges, dish-washer, oven, BBQ.

The villa is located on the west side of Grasse, 800 m far from the 'village provençal' of Peymeinade with all shopping facilities, supermarket 400 m, restaurants, to the tennis center 1 km. To the center of Grasse, World capital of perfume, there is 5 minutes drive. Additional information about rental rates

  • The indicated renting prices are studied for the villa with 6 bedrooms for a maximum of 13 people including small children and babies and for a minimum stay of 2 weeks. A one week stay is possible on request. The indicated renting prices are including pool-cleaning and gardener service once a week, in case of a 2 weeks stay 3 hours mid-cleaning after the first week. It is possible to ask for more cleaning hours on extra-cost.
    The indicated renting prices are not including: The electricity consumption during the stay (electricity meter will be read on arrival and on departure), on request the pool can be heated by a modern electrical heating pump. A final cleaning fee of 200euros is asked at the end of the stay. Bed-linnens and Towels can be provided .
  • Deposit on booking: We are asking for a non-refundable deposit of 30 % on booking. The balance is to pay 6 weeks before arrival date. For a one or two weeks booking a refundable security deposit of Euros 1.000 has to be paid on arrival . From this deposit will be deducted the extra charges electricity consumption, final cleaning fee, telephone fees, Bed-linnens and towels.

my family just returned to the States from Mas D'Origan. the house and grounds are truly wonderful: lots of room, lots of comfort and lots of privacy among the various wings of the house. the pool and outdoor kitchen are lovely. everything is very well stocked. we were particularly concerned about how well the house would work with the two toddlers we brought with us. in fact, it worked extremely well. the pool is gated and alarmed. there are cribs in the house as well as high chairs. the grounds were fun for the babies, especially the exciting (to them) goldfish pond.

Inge, the owner, is a wonderful host. she did everything she could to make our stay comfortable. She's very professional, having managed properties in the area for years. Her English is excellent which was very helpful to me in particular.

I strongly recommend this house and would rent it again in a heartbeat.

We all got home safely and everyone has said that the very much enjoyed staying in your beautiful house. It was great to have such a lovely garden and such a range of facilities. We thought the garden kitchen was a great asset and we eat all our meals on the tables next to it.

Privacy & Comfort

I could not more highly recommend this villa. The owner was extremely helpful in all aspects of our holiday. She could not been more gracious. The villa is set in a suburb of Grasse, but the property was surrounded by cypress trees and flower gardens so rich that it felt like we were completely alone. In our group we had 10 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and very clean.
This was our 10th villa trip to Southern Europe in the last decade and this villa met our every expectation. Our reason for choosing this property away from the coast was that it had much more garden space, a larger pool and spacious rooms then most villas closer to the sea. Furthermore, the price of the rental was very reasonable for such a beautiful villa.
Overall we were totally pleased with our choice of villa rentals and fully recommend this property.

Cette villa est très agréable,grande,calme,propre et très bien entretenue.La piscine est parfaite et peut être chauffée.
Le jardin est très grand et permet à chacun de trouver un endroit calme pour se reposer ou un espace de jeux pour les enfants
La villa convient parfaitement a un groupe de 2 ou 3 familles car chaque chambre possède sa salle de bain et son wc
J'ai trouvé la salle de bain géniale

Villa with a great garden

This villa is an excellent choice for large family groups. We spent most days (sunny every day) around the pool in the extensive garden. The garden was wonderful with several different areas, shade at different times of the day and great views of the hills. The pool was more than big enough and very clean.
The outside kitchen was a particular feature.
The house was also in good condition with plenty of living space.
In terms of location, a car is needed if you want to explore the area but the supermarket is close enough to walk.

Overall, a high standard property in a good location.
