The 'Mas de l'Origan' is a renovated farmhouse, set in a magnificent fenced 2700 m2 flat ground with total privacy, nice views to the historic eagle-nest village Cabris, 800m distance to the 'village provençal' of Peymeinade, 400m distance to the supermarket, 4km to Grasse, 16km to Cannes. In the garden a panoply of typical provençal trees and flowers, more than 200 years old olive trees, three idyllic terraces around the house with 6 tables, a very well equipped outside summer kitchen, BBQ, garden house 16sqm with shower, WC. The heated swimming-pool (11 x 5m) with 3 entrance steps is fenced. Next to it tennis table and a bowling alley. This large villa, 270m2 living space, is perfect for 2 families: sitting room, large kitchen with fire place and dining area for 6, 20 m2 veranda-room with sliding doors and dining table until 10. More photos are available. Please note that we are unable to accept bookings for weddings or large parties as the villa is situated in a residential area.

In former times, until 1950, the Mas de l'Origan has been a farm with a wide land around, producing olive oil and cultivating roses and jasmine for the perfumeries in Grasse. Since, the old farmhouse has been sold with a land of 2700m2 flat ground, enlarged and restored respecting the old provençal style. The oldest part of the villa is the east/south wing: entrance, sitting-room with beamed ceilings, a very cosy double-kitchen with fireplace and dining area, covered veranda-room with table until 10, one large bedroom, en suite bathroom, w-c. On the first floor two bedrooms with en suite bathroom, w-c or shower room, w-c. Here is the connexion with the new north/west extension with three large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms each with w-c, a terrace. The villa is harmoniously furnished with a mix of provençal style and antique furniture. A small garden house is equipped with a shower-room, w-c. The perfect equipped outside summer kitchen with BBQ gives the possibility to live entirely outside

You reach 10 golf courses within 10 - 20 minutes drive, access to the fast road 5 minutes drive, the high way A 8 in Cannes 15 minutes drive, Nice Airport 30 minutes drive, many picturesque villages within 15 minutes drive with famous restaurants.

  • The indicated renting prices are studied for the villa with 6 bedrooms for a maximum of 13 people including small children and babies and for a minimum stay of 2 weeks. The indicated renting prices are including: beds made for your arrival, pool-cleaning once a week, in case of a 2 weeks stay 3 hours mid-cleaning after the first week. It is possible to ask for more cleaning hours on extra-cost.
    The indicated renting prices are not including: The electricity consumption during the stay (electricity meter will be read on arrival and on departure). Extra fees in case of pool heating. A final cleaning fee of 180 euros is asked at the end of the stay. Towels are not included but can be provided on request on extra cost. Additional bed-linen change required during your stay is to pay extra.
  • Deposit on booking: We are asking for a non-refundable deposit of 30 % on booking. The balance is to pay 6 weeks before arrival date. For a one or two weeks booking a refundable security deposit of Euros 1.000 has to be paid on arrival . From this deposit will be deducted the extra charges electricity, telephone fees, eventual damages occurred during the stay by renters fault.

Cette villa est très agréable,grande,calme,propre et très bien entretenue.La piscine est parfaite et peut être chauffée.
Le jardin est très grand et permet à chacun de trouver un endroit calme pour se reposer ou un espace de jeux pour les enfants
La villa convient parfaitement a un groupe de 2 ou 3 familles car chaque chambre possède sa salle de bain et son wc
J'ai trouvé la salle de bain géniale

Villa with a great garden

This villa is an excellent choice for large family groups. We spent most days (sunny every day) around the pool in the extensive garden. The garden was wonderful with several different areas, shade at different times of the day and great views of the hills. The pool was more than big enough and very clean.
The outside kitchen was a particular feature.
The house was also in good condition with plenty of living space.
In terms of location, a car is needed if you want to explore the area but the supermarket is close enough to walk.

Overall, a high standard property in a good location.

A week in Provence

The villa and its gardens proved to be even more luxurious than the decription and photographs suggested. The rooms were spacious and well furnished and easily absorbed the three generations (10 in all) of our family.

The villa, an impressively restored 200 year old stone farmhouse, is set in a large garden with a colourful mix of bushes, plants and trees. The latter provided not only shade, but also privacy. An outdoor barbeque was a boon and al fresco eating, at a terrace overlooking the pool, was the norm.

The owner of the villa was most attentive and helpful; nothing was too much trouble. She provided us with all the requirements necessary for a comfortable stay, as well as advice on places to visit. The property was impressively clean throughout and the the bedding, towels and cooking utensils etc, were similarly so.

The weather (May 08) was not always kind to us, but the heated swimming was much in use, particularly by the children, during the rainy days. Indeed, there was a reluctance to go to the beaches, at times, such was the fun that all were having, in and around the pool.

We visited Monaco (grand prix) and Cannes (beaches) as well as nearby Grasse, with its fascinating old quarter. But most of our week was spent enjoying the villa and its amenities.

We tended not to go out to restaurants as, at the time, the strong euro made eating out, prohibitively expensive. A well stocked supermarket, within walking distance, provided all that we needed, especially wine!

I wholeheartedly recommend this villa for a relaxing holiday.
