A tranquil & charming Provencale studio apartment with use of villa pool, in the hills overlooking the medieval town of Vence, which is less than 10 minutes away. Newly renovated so photos not yet available. It is just 20 kms from Nice and/or Antibes. Suitable for a couple. The studio apartment is attached to the villa but has its own attractive courtyard garden. It is private, secluded, quiet and sunny, situated on the hillside of the old Domaine of Reine Jeanne, in a private, no through road. So, no passing traffic. The courtyard garden lends itself to Alfresco dining. All rooms are tastefully furnished. There is parking. Cat in residence with me in the villa so probably not suitable for anyone who has an allergy to cats.

Vence is a town full of writers/artists/painters etc. It boasts fine medieval architecture. A daily market and many restaurants and cafes. There are frequent outdoor exhibitions and events. The old hilltop village of St Paul de Vence is 4 kms away with many art galleries and restaurants including the famous, La Colombe d'Or. See under Vence on the website for more information.

Letting you in on a secret

Giving you this information is letting you in on a secret. This studio apartment is a pure delight. It has excellent facilities, is very comfortably furnished, has a wonderful hostess in Jackie - but you are hardly aware she is around. It is quiet and peaceful, and so close to many great places to visit. It’s a stones throw to Vence and St Paul de Vence, where there are great restaurants. Jackie is there, in the background, if you need any help or advice, and do listen to any little tips that she gives if you should bump into her before setting off for the day. We discovered two delightful places that we well might have missed out on. All in all, Jackie has put together the perfect ingredients - it’s just down to you to then cook up a great holiday. Talking of cooking, if dining in St Paul de Vence do give La Cocarde, on the main street, a try. (It's new in 2009). Two guys full of enthusiasm, passionate about food, and excellent value. No website - yet - but the multilingual Geronimo (Yes, that’s his name!) will ensure you have a great evening. Jackie, we'll be back!

Wonderful Relaxing holiday!

I would defintely recommend this property to anyone looking to relax and enjoy a gorgeous break in the South of France. My husband and I spent a week in the studio relaxing without our toddler while attending a friends wedding nearby. We rejected staying in a hotel with other guests and opted for something different. The villa was perfect for our needs and very good value. It is located in a gorgeous setting in the hills, very near to central Vence (which is just a short walk away). It is run by Jackie, who is wondefully hospitable and really made us feel so welcome. The studio is brilliantly equipped and we had exclusive use of the wonderful pool. We hope to go back again some day. There is so much to explore in the region.

Charming appartment in an ideal location

It is probably the best studio appartment we have stayed at in the South of France.The accommodation was very comfortable and well appointed. The owner provided us with virtually exclusive use of the lovely pool during our stay. We used our car for sightseeing trips and visits to the beach but were able to walk into Vence which was only twenty minutes away on foot. This was very convenient for taking long lunches in the picturesque old town which was full of very good restaurants. We would recommend the accommodation without hesitation and are planning a return trip!
