This charming little three-story house is situated in the medieval village of Roquebrune, lying between Monaco and Menton. Perched on a rock overlooking the sea, the village is a fascinating maze of houses connected by footpaths, with a ruined castle at its summit. The house itself is just below the village square, in a great position for sea views. Wtih its rustic, white-washed walls, the house is delightfully simple in style, yet well equipped. The large windows on the first and second floors provide breathtaking views across to Monaco; this panorama can also be appreciated from the wonderful terrace.The two local beaches can be reached by a long run of steps, but there is parking near the beaches for the less energetic! The village has a shop for provisions, a charming hotel and a selection of restaurants, offering a range of food from pizza to French cuisine. There is a large parking area at the base of the village.

Property layout

The house is arranged over three floors, with a rustic rock back wall. It has tiled floors throughout. On the ground floor there is a small hallway leading to a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (which also houses the washing machine). Steepish stairs lead up to the first floor where there is an open-plan kitchen and sitting area, with large sliding windows. Open stairs with iron railings lead up to the second floor – to the right is the second bedroom with en-suite shower room and large sliding windows; to the left is a glass door leading onto the covered terrace/balcony where there is a table suitable for dining. The sea view from the terrace is stunning.
