Provencial villa completely fully air conditioned, very calm, with a very large terrace sunny and child sate and secure swimming pool with a panoramic view over mountains, castle and sea; private car park, fifteen minutes away from the beaches, near all conveniences, stores, 10 minutes Nice international airport .

' les Grimadines' is located in the heart of the French Riviera between Monaco and Cannes, a step away from tennis courts.

Bus service to Nice and surroundings 10 minutes walk from the house.

Ski resorts ( from Christmas to Easter) are at only a 1 hour 15 mns drive away from Cagnes/Mer.

Free wifi internet connection, unlimited, speed

* Le logis, on the modern commercial town and roosting in the upper reaches (10mns walking)

*The Haut -de Cagnes: This latter mentionned area is a medieval village that occupies privileged position offeringa remarkable panorama.Its characteristic houses, dotted all around the castle, line the narrow twisting streets nd the decorated with flowers. ( shutle free 10ms walking)

*The Cros-de Cagnes on the seafront ( 30 mns walking)

It is impossible to speak of Cagnes without mentioning AUGUSTE RENOIR, who lived here from 1907 until his death

Beautiful and Sylish villa

We had a lovely week in Nicole's beauiful house. The view is amazing and we really felt we had a taste of French living by staying there. There is a lot to do in the area but really a car is a neccessity, especially if you have children. The house itself is very comfortable but I wouldn't really want to stay there with very young children (ours are 13, 11 and 8) due to the fact that the steps are very steep and the 2 floors of the house are accessed by outside steps. We had a lovely time and explored the old part of town (well worth a visit), Cannes (by train - very easy) Monaco, Villefranche-sur-mer (lovely) and Marineland (great for the kids). The weather was very hot during our stay so the aircon was very welcome (both upstairs and down) and the little pool is perfect to cool off in after your excursions. Nicole is lovely and made us feel very welcome, we were sad to leave!

Great place, very nice and honest owner

This was a great place to be, just felt like home. The owner is very nice and honest.
Just a reminder though for people allergic to cats, there is one in the house once in a while.
We did enjoy also all those stairs to go up to the main apartment, it's part of the Côte D'azur style of live. If everything was flat it wouldn't be the South !
Just a great vacation in a great place !

Experiance French living for a week

This is my first time to stay in a villa , I always stayed in best 5 stars hotels around the world in many distinations, I found Nicole's Villa is better than all the 5 stars I ever been, first is the location is mangnifisant, view is what i aways dream of, and more important that is very specoiuos villa that can fit a big familly of 6 like mine
Nicole I fall in love with ur villa and Cagnes ser mer, and the fresh bakery every morning, I experinced french living as am from Arab origin and this is so new to me ...i will buy a land in AMMAN - Jordan as it have a lot of mountains there, will do same design of this breath taking villa ..... many regards

The house is absolutely fantastic, - BUT

- the steps are scary especially to elderly people, - the same is the hills up to the gate, which should be informed on the webside. Also the fact that the house consists of two storeys was a disapointment.

- some of the personal belongings in the drawers should be removed before the guests arrive.

- it was a big disappointment that the pool was not in order until the third day.

But apart from these objections - the house is fantastic, and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Vacation with two small children.

We stayed at this Villa June 2010. We brought our two small children and my husbands parents who are elderly.
Really nice hostess Nicole with warm welcome and house fantastically clean. Very well equipment with top class kitchen utencils etc..Beautiful views from Villa quite relaxed setting.

On the negative I thinks its over priced as Cagnes sur Mer is a good ten minute walk and the hills are pretty steep up to Villa. (My husband & I are marathon runners and we found it difficult). However for my husbands elderly parents it was tough as the bus is a 15 minute walk for them and pushing our kids in the stroller up that hill home each day became laborious. The swimming pool was nice but again this villa with the pool & raised balconies is not child friendly.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but would look again for somewhere more central to amenities like trains shops markets etc.

Not much to see in Cagnes itself but the bus service is very good. We didnt want to hire a car as we had the small children and Cote gets pretty busy in peak times.
