Grasse holiday villa: Grasse

We were a party of 10. My wife and I stayed in the "Maison d'Amis" and found it ideal. Our 2 children with spouses and 4 grandchildren stayed in the "Bastide", again an ideal arrangement.
We all agreed that St Avril was far better than the impression given by the web site. Most of the accomodation is large and comfortable, and the only criticism I would offer is that the kitchen is a little small when catering for large numbers.
The grounds are extensive with good sized pool, gardens and woodland, all surrounded by high stone walls and very secure. Our 4 grandchildren (aged 5 to 10) loved it all, and made full use of the freedom it offers.
Meals and Barbecues on the terrace were a joy on lovely warm evenings. We had two family birthday parties during our stay, and thoroughly enjoyed them.
Grasse is a lovely old town and the surrounding area has many opportunities for exploration, with most tastes catered for, and beautiful countryside and coast within easy reach.
The property was spotless on arrival, and thoroughly cleaned during the middle weekend of our two week stay. The pool was cleaned twice during our stay.
On the down side, two maintenance problems were reported soon after arrival, but not resolved during our two weeks,

In conclusion I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a family holiday with younger children. We had a brilliant time!
