Bellemaison is a luxury villa, with great sea views, set on a hillside within walking distance of the city of Grasse. Our romantic, self catering house also has 5 golf courses of different levels, nearby. The villa has three large elegant bedrooms with high ceilings and has WIFI internet access throughout. The modern bathrooms have good showers. There is a separate TV room with DVDs, videos and full satellite programs, steps lead down to the pool. The bright living room and dining room have seating for 8 people. The eat-in kitchen has modern appliances. The adjoining utility room has a washer and separate dryer. The gardens are full of olive trees. Around the large pool there is a huge sun trap terrace with loungers and parasols and outdoor dining facilities with sea views. The upstairs of the house is laid to wooden floors with the three bedrooms decorated in blue and white. Guests like the privacy of the house and its closeness to the sea, to Grasse, its shops and restaurants.

Grasse is the perfume capital of the world. It is on a hill looking down to Cannes and the sea..Our town has many good restaurants, bars and bistros specially the gourmet restaurant Bastide St Antoine attracting gourmet holidaymakers. The sandy beaches of Cannes and Juan les Pins are 25 minutes away . St Tropez and Monaco are 1 hour by car. Grasse has a new railway station that connects it to the rest of the Riviera , Paris and London. The Great shopping in Italy is only 1 hour away. There's a great Go- carting track nearby, sailing, golf, tennis, fishing and mountain walking are also nearby. Our house gives you the choice to do as little or as much as you like during your holiday. You can relax by the swimming pool. Lazying by the sunny terrace is sometimes all people want when they come to stay. There is a very nice Cinema with English films playing in town and good pizzerias to go to afterwards. Grasse has a lot of old fashioned charm, provencal markets and beautiful gardens.

    2 or 3 week rentals get a 5% discount.
  • To secure your prefered weeks, we accept a 20% deposit of the rental in advance.

  • The house has 2 bathrooms upstairs for the 3 bedrooms. One bathroom is fully tiled with large white tiles and has double basins and a good shower and white enamel bath. The other bathroom is tiled and has a walk in shower, sink and toilet. The cloakroom is situated downstairs next to the TV room. There is plenty of hot water in all bathrooms.

  • The house has three large airy bedrooms with ample cupboards, and large windows with lovely views to the sea or the garden. All bedrooms have large double beds, specially the large guest room with a 7 foot square bed. They are decorated in mostly white with blue details and oak wooden floors. All rooms have high ceilings and a fan , are very quiet and have wooden shutters for extra insulation. Crisp white sheets and towels are provided at a small extra charge. The eat - in kitchen has all the makings for gourmet cooking or simple meals. The new gas barbecue is just outside the kitchen and makes everything taste nice. Many herbs like rosemary, thyme, sage, wild garlic and bay are readily available in the garden. Help yourself.

Notes: The house and gardens are child friendly. Please note though, that the swimming pool is very deep, 2 metres at both ends, no shallow end, great for diving, but not good for inexperienced swimmers! There are large stairs leading into the pool. There is good and easy parking available next to the house. We are located near the town of Grasse, so it is easily reached by foot and there are other great walks in the hills behind the house. There are large fans in all the rooms. The bathrooms have good showers and lots of hot water. The cleaning lady comes in for a final clean. There are lavender plants and olive trees all over the garden, a hammock is strung between two olive trees for siestas in the summer. There is outdoor lighting and a new barbecue for outdoor dining and the pool can be lit for evening swimming. The terrace by the pool has reclining sun loungers and white parasols. You can chose to dine on either of the terraces, and enjoy the views to Grasse and to the sea.

Golf and Tennis: Golf and Tennis are easily accessible form Grasse. There are three public hard tennis courts nearby., The Royal Mougin and Mandelieu Golf Courses, also the St Donat and Clos Amic golf clubs are very close, The Grand bastide course is 15 minutes away . Nearby we have 4 large tennis clubs that take day members.

Snow skiing: Snow skiing nearby can be accessed at Isola 2000, Limone,Valberg, Auron and Val d'allos. All with good alpine resorts, good modern facilities, and good night life.

Guest comments: ...the house was as described and fulfilled all our expectations. Thank you, we will be back to sample more Grassoise hospitality. Belle maison is near to so many beaches and good restaurants. We needed another week to explore more of the sights and markets. We will definitely recommend your house, the children loved it.! We have used the house as a base to find our own home in the South of France and found it perfect to reach the other towns and the coast. Once we had found our way around the Grasse traffic system, we reached our appointments in no time. It was great to come back to the house and have a swim in the pool after a long days viewing.. After exploring the surrounding area, we decided to stay in the house most of the time.'. Too nice to leave, everything we wanted was here. We would recommend visiting the Bastide St Antoine at lunchtime. They have a special gourmet menu that is affordable then.

Other Activities: Go-karts, canyoning, great golf courses for beginners and pros alike.

A great house for a family

This a beautiful house, tastefully decorated in a wonderful location. The kids found the walk up the hill into Grasse a bit of a trek, but the quiet afforded by being at the end of a quiet residential road made for a relaxing week. It was perfect for what we needed as a base to explore around the Cote D'Azur and also a wonderful place to relax at the end of the day. The kids enjoyed the pool and TV room which meant we had a chance to relax and enjoy the views and all that Grasse has to offer.

A truly delightful house

My wife and I had the real pleasure of having the house to ourselves for a week to celebrate our 25th anniversary and although there was more than sufficient room for us both, the available space would certainly have been ample if we had brought our adult son and daughter. The house is situated in a peaceful and tranquil area with lovely extensive views of the sea and yet is easily accessible to the centre of Grasse (there are some steepish hills so decent knees are required if walking extensively!).

The house interior is well designed and comfortably furnished with the beautiful and well-managed gardens reflecting that of the house itself all lending to the privacy we wanted and needed - we ate outside each evening under the olive trees watching the sun go down.

The lovely pool was ideal.

This is an ideal house to either stay and simply relax, or as a base to discover the surrounding area and would appeal to couples looking for a romantic break or families who want quality space to spend quality time together. We would be more than happy to return!

We spent a very enjoyable week here in April. The house was lovely and comfortable, the pool even in April was a great draw and the views to the sea were a delight. All in all a fab villa
