Villa La Chamade, situated only 50 minutes from Nice airport, sits on a half acre of pine and oak trees overlooking the olive groves of the Esteron river valley, at an altitude of 600 m. Nestled on the south east side of the mountain 1 km from the Vieux Village de Pierrefeu, La Chamade provides privacy, a spectacular view, with a spacious southern aspect terrace and pool. The villa has a modern kitchen equipped with oven, microwave, dishwasher etc. There is excellent walking, and swimming in the river nearby. Our kidney-shaped saline pool is completely private, accessible from two bedrooms, as well as from the terrace. All access to the pool area can be locked and pool is equipped with an AFNOR approved pool alarm system.

Notes to the rental rates

• Although the minimum let during the summer months is normally 2 weeks, we are willing to consider bookings outside July and August, for odd periods (minimum one week). During months of October to April, additional charges apply for heat and logs.
  25% deposit is required at time of confirmation of booking. The balance is required eight weeks prior to arrival date. A security deposit of €300.00 is required at the same time as the balance is paid. This is to cover breakages, telephone charges and any additional (above the norm) cleaning required. This is refundable after the telephone and cleaning accounts are received.
  Guests should vacate the villa by 10 am on the Saturday morning. Incoming guests should plan to arrive after 4 pm on the Saturday afternoon.

Surrounding area

The villages of Gilette and Roquesteron, both 15 minutes drive from La Chamade, offer restaurants and shopping facilities with boulangerie, boucherie and small supermarkets. There is also a small charcuterie, and an Auberge in Pierrefeu. The largest shopping centre is Carrefour which is approximately 40 minutes drive away, off route N-202. In view of the remote location, a car is essential to enjoy the many historical and interesting sights. The villages in the Esteron Valley offer a number of local fetes, dinners and dances during the summer season, which are ideal for family outings. But for more sophisticated entertainment, Nice and other Riveria resorts are only an hour away!
