Superb Family Holiday - Irish Family

My extended family (8ad, 1 ch (2yrs)) recently stayed at this wonderful villa in St Jeannet. Firstly the location was wonderful - 12/15km from Nice Airport, located in the hills, in a very private setting with wonderful views over the countryside below. The directions given were exact and got us there in no time at all. We were met on arrival and given the guided tour and everything was covered. The Villa was wonderful and lived up to what we had anticipated, even exceeded in certain areas. There was ample accommodation for everyone - very clean, modern and tastefully decorated. There were excellent dining facilities and reception space throughout - a beautiful terrace off the kitchen where we convened for breakfast, a superb outdoor BBQ area for evening time with plenty of room for us all. We dined in on a few evenings and were well prepared for the mossies with our citronella candles which kept the mossies at bay - a must when in the South of France. Despite the fact there was no A/C, we kept our accommodation cool during the day by keeping the shutters/ curtains closed which worked a treat. Each morning we were lucky enough to be within a very short walk of the bakery in the nearby village where we indulged in fresh croissants and bread, a real treat. We made great use of the pool in the morning and evening, even herself who was only 2yrs old. We had to keep a close eye on her as it's not particularly child friendly, then again what pool is. It was our responsibility to make sure she was safe at all times, not the owner of the villa. I did apprecaite the alarm on the pool, knowing full well that if she did fall in by accident, the alarm would have sounded and we would have known all about it. To be honest, it went off for the adults among us, not for the child! She had a ball pottering around the villa and for anyone travelling with children (bring your DVD's). She used to chill out in the living room watching Barney/ Thomas the Tank Engine if it was too hot outside.
To be honest, I don't think we could have stayed in a better location, 1/2hr from Monaco, 1/2hr from Cannes and less to Antibes. We took full advantage of our proximity to these surrounding areas and visited many of the smaller surrounding villages.
We stayed local our last evening in St. Jeannet. I cannot remember the restaurant name, however service and food were excellent and we finished off with a wonderful outdoor Jazz Concert in the heart of the village.
High recommended!
