Set in a 5-acre private wooded park this recently modernised chalet is light and airy and enjoys stunning views of the Mediterranean towards Cannes and the Isles D'Hyeres and is perfect for alfresco dining on the south facing terrace. With security gates, private parking below and a large shared swimming pool, the property is a unique jewel in the Cote D'Azur.

Designed as an exclusive resort by an Italian during the late 1980s, the chalet is perched in the hills above Golfe Juan, close to the town of Vallauris (Picasso's pottery period). The marina and beaches of Golfe Juan are nearby, as is the station with frequent connections along the coast.

Activities in the area include: golf, fishing, cycling, hill walking, stunning coastal walks such as St Jean Cap Ferrart and Cap d'Antibes, mountaineering, horse riding, diving, wind surfing, kite surfing and skiing is a 90 minute drive away, Dec - April. Also there are lots of villages, museums and restaurants nearby.

The chalet is centrally located (20 minute drive from Nice Airport) and nearby Golf Juan (5 minute drive to chalet) has a train station that runs trains all along the coast. There is a lot to easily explore such as the medieval hilltop villages at Mougins, Eze and St Paul de Vence, museums dedicated to Picasso, Chagall, Matisse, the glass blowers at Biot, the Rothchild Villla on the Cap Ferrart, Monaco and its fascinating palace and famous Grand Prix in June (Monoco is a 1 hour drive max or a 30 minute train journey where you are dropped off at a central point). Nice is a great place to visit as is Cannes and a drive up into the Alps is spectacular. Come at the end of January and see the amazing Historic Monte Carlo Rally over the Alps or the Historic Monaco Grand Prix in May. There is plenty for the kids too such as swimming, zoos, farms and boating lakes. Or just lounge by the pool or at the nearby beach at Golf Juan. There is lots of information about activities at the chalet.

Additional information about rental rates

  • During the months of July and August there is a minimum stay of one week. Special rates for shorter or longer stays available. Longer term lets available. It's a perfect place to stay for winter as the weather is bright , light and sunny during the day. Remember skiing is not far away - Dec to the end of March: Isola 2000, Auron, Valberg 1.5 hours drive. There's also the bright yellow Miosa trail in January, the Carnival in Nice, and the lemon festival in Menton in February.
  • The house is cleaned by a cleaner after each guest to ensure the house is spotless for you.

Notes: You will be welcomed on arrival by our French agent Christine who will explain everything you need to know so that you can enjoy your stay. There is an air conditioning unit should you need it and there are three effective cooling fans, two in the living room area and one in the double bedroom. Bed linen and towels can be provided at a small charge if requested, as can a child's cot or fold-up bed. The park is gated and you will be a given a fob for ease to allow you to enter and it is safe and suitable for children. The pool is fenced and you will be given a key. There are reading books left by other guests and a comments book plus lots of information about what to do and where to go..

Bijou Maison in quiet parc.

The property was clean & comfortable and does have wonderful views. The owner was most efficient, friendly and considerate as was the "greeter" at the property.
It is good for complete relaxation on the south facing deck or use as a base to explore the Cote d'Azur.
Locally Vallauris & Golfe Juan are worth exploring.
A car is essential or be prepared for a demanding descent to and climb back from the excellent coastal rail and bus connections.
All-in-all a really good holiday but not for the faint-hearted.
Would certainly consider renting again and would not hesitate to recommend to friends.

Great for Cannes Film Festival

We stayed here while attending the 2011 Cannes Film Festival and found it perfect - away from the hustle and bustle of the fest, but close enough to get o the Croisette in about 15-20 minutes (car needed)
Quiet, secluded, secure, friendly neighbours and a well appointed, compact chalet. Ideal for 2-3 adults or a small family. Great pool too.

One of the best holidays we have had in France

We stayed for a week in June 2008 and had a great time (however, one week is too short try 10 days at least) and it was one of the best holidays we have had in France. The place was nice and calm with great views as advertised and the swimming pool was brilliant and the Chalet is well equipped.
You will find a good French hospitality where ever you go.
Our special thanks to Christine (the french contact there) for being so nice, helpful and friendly.

If Nicky is prepared to have us back next year then we would like to have a repeat holiday any time.

Note- The Park de la Quieta is a fairly short distance away from the Nice airport (we used our TomTom which used the same route as Nicky's suggeste route).
There are several big super markets only 5-10 mins away in Vallarus and you will be able to get what ever you want. The town is very nice and plenty of pottery to buy as presents but it is very quite at night time so for a night out we drove to Cannes (20 mins drive) which has lot more to offer at night. However, during the day we used the park's high quality free swimming pool one day and drove to the nearst Gualf Juan seaside (10 mins drive) the other day. We highly recommend this place.
