Notes to the rental rates

Rentals are normally Saturday to Saturday. However, we may be able to be flexible: please contact us if you are interested in renting at other times.
Weekly rentals include bed linen and towels, a final clean and garden and pool maintenance. A baby cot and high chair are available on request. Electricity (high usage only) is charged by the meter. Normal electricity usage does not incur this extra charge. For rentals of longer than one week, a once-weekly clean and linen change is included in the rental price. Additional cleaning can be arranged at an extra cost.

| Notes: | The spacious open-plan living room, smartly furnished with touches of provencal glass and metalwork, is full of sunshine all day. The designer kitchen has all modern appliances and for dining outside, there is a barbecue on the patio. Upstairs there are three comfortable double bedrooms (two doubles, one twin) and two bathrooms (one en suite to the main bedroom). Downstairs is the fourth double bedroom with a double bed and an additional large bathroom with shower. Outside, there are sun-loungers, a large dining table and of course, the beautiful private swimming pool which is floodlit at night. Guests at Villa Azure also have use of the 25m domain pool, sun terraces and boules court, a short 2-minute walk away. Everything is designed to make your holiday comfortable and enjoyable. Regional Specialities
Take the opportunity to visit the fascinating local towns and markets for fine produce, antiques and original craft work. Biot, Villeneuve-Loubet and Antibes hold weekly markets where you can try the local specialities : especially olive oil, honey and homemade preserves and the aromatic provencal wines, all at very reasonable prices. Don't forget to try : 'Tapenade' - a paste of olives, capers, anchovies and olive oil ; and 'Socca' - a pancake made from chick-pea flour and highly seasoned with salt and black pepper, served hot straight from the wood oven. For handicrafts, Biot is known for its workshops where you can watch the artisans create original pottery, jewellery and the famous bubble-flecked glassware. For original paintings, head for St Paul de Vence or Mougins, magnets for established and aspiring artists of talent. If you'd like to create your own perfume or learn more about how perfumes are made, visit Molinard or Fragonard at the perfume capital of Grasse.

Here are the answers to some FAQs, but please do not hesitate to contact us if you have a specific enquiry. HOW FAR ARE THE NEAREST SHOPS ? The villa is five minutes from Biot village with boulangeries for your daily baguettes, a butcher, greengrocer and a small grocery shop open 7 days a week. Five minutes towards the Baie des Anges Marina takes you to Geant, a large supermarket, open on Sundays in high season. DO WE REALLY NEED A CAR ? We recommend a car to get the most out of your holiday. HOW FAR IS THE NEAREST BEACH ? One kilometre - a few minutes' drive or a pleasant 20 minute walk through the park. HOW FAR IS THE NEAREST RAILWAY STATION ? Both Biot and Villeneuve-Loubet stations are five minutes away. The excellent railway gives beautiful views of the coastline and is a great way to see the sights from Monte Carlo to St. Tropez. HOW FAR IS THE NEAREST GOOD RESTAURANT ? Five minutes takes you to 'Le Migrainier' or 'Les Terraillers', both friendly and highly recommended.

Skiing Information:
An hour's drive takes you to two of the best French Alps ski resorts: Isola 2000 and Auron. The season lasts from December to the end of March and you can comfortably spend a morning on the pistes and be back at the villa for lunch. Isola 2000 : purpose-built at 2000m with a total of 45 pistes (4 black, 14 red, 20 blue, 7 green). Ample ski lifts and cafes and restaurants on the edge of the slopes. Auron : a typical old Alpine village with a 12th century church, at 1600m with 132 km of pistes. Both resorts have rental shops for skis, snowboards, snow karts and all necessary equipment. The 'Ecole de Ski Francais' has 110 instructors with lessons in English starting from 18 Euros. A wonderful family spot at Christmas: Santa visits in a sleigh and champagne and hot chocolate are served at midnight on New Year's Eve to the light of flaming torches carried by skiers on the slopes. Good restaurants serving mountain fare and plenty of lively bars and cafes.
Golf Information:
There is a range of fine golf courses to suit every type of player in the immediate vicinity. Just a few minutes from the villa, the Biot golf club at 'La Bastide du Roy' is friendly with a pretty club house in view of the village. For expert players, the two main courses at Mougins are amongst the best in France : 'Royal Mougins' which has hosted the French Open and 'Golf Country Club de Cannes-Mougins' designed with interesting water hazards by Peter Allis and Dave Thomas. Further afield, the smart 'Monte Carlo Golf Club' is situated at 900m above the coast, giving marvellous views of the principality and the sea.
