On the Cote d'Azur in the heart of Provence 'The Lighthouse' overlooks this romantic fishing port. Beaches, restaurants and the delights of the market square are easy to discover from this central location. Here you can have fun cooking while looking out to sea, or enjoy relaxing on the southern balcony. Exceptional views of the azure blue sea lead to the main beach that is sandy and safe. Inviting restaurants and bars that spill out onto the streets surround the market square. All this is a convenient three-minute walk away, around a classic Mediterranean port. Large windows and high ceilings give this newly renovated apartment a light and airy feel. From the open plan granite kitchen, to the Roman tiled bathroom, all is well equipped and convenient. There is a large northern terrace where it is great to eat, around a mosaic table, or sunbathe. Cleaning, laundry, beach towels and tax are free!!!!! Cassis is close to Marseille, an ancient Phoenician port, and Aix where music and dance festivals take place. The Callanques, a national park, are Provencal fjords with crystal clear green water, framed by white lime stone cliffs and the deep blue of the ocean, where secret beaches await discovery. It’s easy to catch a boat from Cassis (they leave every half hour) and be dropped off in a Callanques, where it is fun to picnic, dive and sunbathe. A renowned diving spot with Roman wrecks, preserved flora and fauna is a half hour boat trip out to sea. The Callanques is a world famous rock-climbing site. Cassis produces a famous white wine the result of a long tradition since 600 BC. Various Chateaux welcome wine lovers and offer free tasting. The apartment is on the first floor of a residential building 5 minutes walk from both beaches and overlooking the Lighthouse on the waterfront. When the windows are open you can hear the sea in every room. Everything is easy on foot.

Great Apartment with Great Views

We spend just 4 wonderful days in Cassis and hope to return again someday. The apartment was roomy, clean, had spectacule views, and was in a great location. We enjoyed walking around the quient little town and the boat ride we took to the Calanques (cliffs). The restaurants were very good. We liked the little Pizza place below and to the right of the apartment as well as Bonaparts (spelling?) wonderful and fresh seafood. The pastries and gelatto were great. We also loved the market on Wed and Fridays. Really nice gifts at good prices. And again, the apartment was so awesome! We really loved it and Cassis!

J ai loue l appartement de Mr Franklin en mars dernier et ca a ete un sejour inoubliable.Celui ci est idealement situe face a la mer avec une vue incroyable sur le cap canaille ainsi que le port de cassis. De plus a notre arrivee il y avait une tres bonne bouteille de rose de cassis, ce qui nous a fait nous sentir comme a la maison apres de longue heures de route.L appartement a garde tout le charme des maisons traditionnelles de provence et l equipement de celui ci etait parfait, il ne manquait rien.Nous avons passe un moment merveilleux et inoubliable dans ce lieu hors du commun. Nous esperons de tout coeur y passer d autres moments.

My wife and I stayed in the Lighthouse Apartment in late June of 2008, and it was one of the most enjoyable weeks of our lives together. The apartment is large, the view is spectacular, the beach (5-minutes walk away) is good, and the groceries and bakeries well-stocked with delicious food. In other words, it was everything promised in the description and more!

This apartment is a welcome change from the hotel stays. The view of the harbor and surrounding area is absolutely mezmorizing. The markets in the area have excellent produce and cheese for a home cooked meal. There is also a lot of action along the strand.
This location is a good base from which you can explore lower Provence.
Overall, Lighthouse is a place you won't want to leave.

Dear Anthony, We had a WONDERFUL time while at your apartment in Cassis. The initial view and apartment brought tears to my eyes and a hug to Victor! What a great apartment! Clean, roomy, comfortable and the view!! Awesome! The views of the lighthouse, the little town and boats was something we will never forget! We enjoyed Cassis with the great people, shopping and food. We enjoyed a cruise to the cliffs and drove to the neighboring towns for sightseeing. It was the perfect place to vacation! Thanks so much for making the place available to regular people like our small group! I hope we can come back some day. And thanks to Victor for his welcoming attitude and warmth! He was so nice!
