Le Hameau de Notre Dame is one of 10 apartments in this exclusive 'Provencal Style' development, set in a beautiful countryside location with lovely views towards the village of Cotignac. The centre of the village, which has a good selection of restaurants and shops, is within 500 yards. The apartment is all on ground level with private gardens, barbeque area and a shared landscaped swimming pool. Both bedrooms have doors leading on to a secluded courtyard, which is lovely and cool in high season. There is additional room adjacent to the property, overlooking the patio, which is fitted out as a childrens' playroom.

The closest large town is Brignoles, 20 minutes away. It is a rural area with forest and vineyards interspersed with market towns and medieval villages. Pick-up from the airport & train can be arranged.

Notes: Sun loungers are available both at the apartment and at the swimming pool. The pool is open from June - September. The apartment is particularly suitable for babies and children. There is an entirely enclosed courtyard to the rear of the apartment which can be accessed from both bedrooms. The terrace/garden to the front is also enclosed & fitted with a gate. The apartment has sole access and use of these areas. There is an additional room adjacent to the main property, overlooking the patio, which it fitted out as a playroom and includes toys. There are also 2 portable fans in the apartment.

Fishing, Golf, Adventure: There is good quality trout fishing on the River Argens at Correns and the nearby beauty spot the Vallon du Sourn. The fishing is controlled by the local commune and the rates for day licences are very reasonable. Coarse fishing is to be found at Le Lac de Carces. Both locations are within twenty minutes motoring of Cotignac. Golf is available at the internationally recognised course at Barbaroux, which is situated at Brignoles within thirty minutes motoring. There are other courses within an hour's drive of the property. There is an excellent tree climbing / adventure park at Flassons suitable for all ages, around 40 minutes from Cotignac

Gorges du Verdon and Le Lac St Croix: The breathtaking chasm of the Gorges du Verdon is one of the most spectacular natural phenomena in France. A tour takes at least a day, the nearest point being within 40 minutes of Cotignac. Activities include hiking, climbing, canoing and white water rafting.

Tourism: Cotignac lies in the north of the Var and is within easy reach of the well known coastal resorts of the Cote d'Azure, Aix-en-Provence and the mountain area of The Gorge de Verdun and Le Lac St Croix. Day visits to the Luberon and the Bouche de Rhone (including The Camarge) are feasible. In the whole of the surrounding area many vineyards, chateaux, charming medieval villages and busy market towns are to be found providing the visitor with a variety of locations in which to relax.

Had a wonderful holiday, and certainly plan to return. The apartment is well furnished, and has a lovely pool. It combines the best of both worlds by being in a quiet location, whilst also being a short stroll to the beautiful village of Cotignac with its excellent and reasonably priced selection of restaurants. There are also many activities and places of interest to visit within 30 minutes of the apartment.
