The apartment is within a Domaine at La Gaillarde with beautiful views over the sea. The sandy beach is about 150 metres away with a shop, restaurants and disco (weekends). There are tennis courts and a swimming pool (April to October) for residents next to the apartment. The accommodation is for six people in two bedrooms and a mezzanine.

La Gaillarde is situated between Les Issambres and St Aygulf approximately 15 minutes from the Roman town of Fréjus and about half an hour (traffic permitting) from St Tropez. Nice airport is about 35 minutes from the apartment by car.

The beach is sandy and patrolled by Sapeurs Pompiers lifeguards during the high season. About an hour’s drive inland is the Gorge de Verdun which is spectacular and pedal boats can hired to explore the Gorge and Lac St Croix.

Notes: The area has a wealth of sandy beaches and rocky coves. Apart from swimming there is plenty of scope for other activities such as cycling, walking and boat trips. At Les Issambres you can hire sailing boats such as Hobby Cats. For the family, Fréjus has many attractions including a large water park for the children and plenty of nightlife for the older ones. There is a large choice of shops including a ‘Géant’ super market. Boat trips are available from Fréjus to St Tropez and other destinations. Fréjus boasts a main line station, which can take you to all stops to Nice and also the Italian Riviera.

Description of Apartment: There is an entrance hall with cupboards. Two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other has twin beds. The main living area has a small kitchen with microwave, cooking hobs and fridge. There is a bed settee and dining furniture. There is free wi-fi and the radio has an Ipod port. Above the kitchen area there is a mezzanine with a double bed. The bathroom has a bath, shower and hand basin and there is a separate toilet. There is a balcony with furniture. The car parking space is reserved. Rental includes free use of the tennis courts and the swimming pool. During July and August the beach has lifeguard surveillance.

Blue Flag: 2003. For the third year running the beach at La Gaillarde has been awarded a 'Pavillon Bleu' - Blue Flag, for its cleanliness and contribution to the preservation of the environment. The rules have been made much tougher in recent years so this is quite a credit.

An excellent apartment, very well presented & maintained. Full inventory of everything a party of 6 would need for a most enjoyable stay here on the Med. Ideally located for just about everything, situated in a quiet safe domaine, well maintained, plenty of facilities on site & not far from anything you might need for a quiet relaxing holiday for 2 or a holiday with the children. Its just PER FECT. Highly recommended!!

Owner's Response: The apartment situation and the all inclusive facilities are a clear advantage and make a big difference to the quality of the holiday and this is typical of the comments that we receive from our guests. We have been running this apartment since 1999 and every year we try to make some improvements so that our visits and those of our visitors are as successful as possible. Perfect location and ideal for us

Our family of 4 spent a lovely week here in Oct 2010, perfect setting, very practical and everything you need, it being well equipped, including wi-fi and all the necessary mod-cons. Great and easy liaision with the owners in terms of keys, info and practicalities. Would definitely recommend as so close to the beach, yet quiet and private. Stunning views from the balcony as well.

Appartment great as always. Nice and clean and enough to keep 2, 13 year olds happy.
new kitchen v. nice but a bigger freezer would go down really well - less trips the Geant!
Mike's service is also great. He's v. helpful and responds to emails promptly.

relax and enjoy

This is an ideal spot for either relaxing in the pool or on the beach or for using the apartment as a base to explore the glorious coastal region. The appartment is well appointed and confort6able for a family. I would highly recommend it.

Just what the doctor ordered!

What a great place. We had a short week to get away to relax and this apartment and location was just the ticket. We were there the last week of June and the weather could not have been better. Our routine consisted of getting up and taking a swim in the ocean at 7:30 then walking across the street to get cresants then back to the apartment for breakfast on the balcony. Then off for a bit of sightseeing , back at 2:00 for and afternoon on the beach then cocktails on the balcony and down to Le Windy's for a great and reasonable dinner and dessert in the bar while watching the World Cup. The apartment had everything we needed , the kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment for making your own meals which we did one night but Le Windy's took care of us the rest of the nights. We can't wait to get a chance to return, hopefully for a bit longer. Thanks for the stay. The only suggestion i have is, you may want to make a note as to how you lock the front door. If it was'nt for a nice lady we met in the hall we may still be trying.
