Luxury apartments in Provencal Chateau.

A 12th century Chateau set in five acres of gardens and parkland bordering onto vineyards, offering an idyllic, peaceful setting. Set behind automatic gates, we are delighted to offer a few super apartments for rental, each with a private terrace or balcony. The two bedroom apartments have a double room with ensuite bathroom and a twin with a separate shower, sleeping 4. The three bedroom apartment has a large double with spacious ensuite bathroom, a further double with ensuite and a twin with shower room, and sleeps 6. There is a magnificent 15 meter swimming pool, a tennis court and a floodlit boules pitch for all to use at the Chateau. In total there are 10 units, most of which are used by their owners from time to time. Mappe is just 5 minutes drive from the centre of the Provencal market town of Lorgues.

A spacious duplex apartment with entry on the ground floor. Very large reception room with open fireplace and dining area. Super private garden and terrace, with covered area for outside dining, lovely wrought iron table and chairs. Fully fitted kitchen, hand-made oak units. On the first floor are three bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. The apartment has tiled floors, apart from the bedrooms which are carpeted. Walls are painted white throughout.

Chateau de Mappe is 4 km from Lorgues, a most picturesque town with pavement cafes and excellent restaurants, including the starred Bruno's. There are two large supermarkets on the outskirts, a post office, cinema, numerous hairdressers and beauty parlours. Of particular note is the colourful Provencal market every Tuesday morning, to which people come from miles around. The countryside is stunning, the scenery made up predominantly of vineyards and forests and mountain regions. The Var offers 15 Golf Courses, and fishing for fresh-water and sea-fishing enthusiasts. For the active, there is canoeing and horse-riding locally as well as the Gorges du Verdon. For those that want to relax and enjoy the wine, we have excellent wine producers in the area, and historical villages nearby to explore, as well as the world-famous Abbey de Thoronet (just 10 minutes away). The Mediterranean coast is under one hour, with the beaches of Ste. Maxime and St. Tropez, or glamorous Cannes.

Happy Holidays

Many of the families that visit Chateau de Mappe return time and time again. This summer will be the sixth time for two particular clients. It is a wonderful environment for children of all ages to play together. There are certain rules that we ask clients to adhere too, which are put in place for the comfort and safety for all. This includes no lilos or inflatables in the pool. Outside the school holidays, it is a quiet, secluded property and adults enjoy visiting the markets, historical places and indulging in delicious food and wine.
