“Villa La Romarine” is set in a beautiful location high in the hills above the quiet village of Taradeau in the Var region of Provence, famous for its Rosé wine. The self-contained Apartment is spacious and modern with a private entrance and secure parking. It has a large double bedroom. There are stunning views, day and night, across the valley and vineyards of the immediate area and of the Tour de Taradel and Chapel St Martin of Taradeau which date from the 12th century. Further in the distance, perched on an extinct volcano overlooking nearby Vidauban is the church of St Bridget which is lit up spectacularly at night. Taradeau is within easy reach of the French Riviera and the Mediterranean resorts of Ste Maxime and St Tropez. The airports of Nice and Toulon are only 55 minutes away. Cannes is just 40 minutes away with Monaco one and a quarter hours drive. If guests want to go further afield, the Italian market towns of San Remo and Ventimiglia are just 90 minutes by car.

Situated just 55 minutes from Nice airport, Taradeau is within easy reach of the French Riviera and the Mediterranean resorts of Ste Maxime and St Tropez. Cannes is just 40 minutes away with Monaco one and a quarter hours drive. If guests want to go further a field, the Italian market towns of San Remo and Ventimiglia are just 90 minutes by car. The local region is of great interest with numerous nearby medieval villages where market traders sell locally produced fruit and vegetables, cheese and wine, arts and crafts. There are also a host of local vineyards to visit where you can sample a variety of excellent wines at the many first class chateaux. Taradeau also has its own award-winning cooperative. Alternatively, you could enjoy good food at any of the many nearby reasonably priced and gastronomic restaurants.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Payment is accepted in UK Sterling or Euros.
    A £100.00 / 180.00 euros deposit per week booked is required at the time of booking. The balance must be paid six weeks prior to the dates required together with a refundable £150.00 / 225.00 euros deposit as security against damage.
    Bookings are available for the midweek and long weekends at a daily rate see above. They may start and finish at any days to suit clients requirements, subject to a minimum stay of three nights low season and seven nights high season.
    A 5% discount is available on stays of two weeks or more. Linen and towels (for shower / beach / pool) are included in the rates. There is an extra charge for electricity during the period 1st October 2009 to 31st March 2010.

Notes: Guests have access to the pool which is adjacent to the house. At the far end of the pool there is a secluded eating area, reminiscent of a Turkish sofra - a small, internal room found in houses on the Bosphurus. The pool area has a doorway which leads to a peaceful rear terrace with a private BBQ where guests may relax with a glass of local Rosé and eat at leisure. Picnic hamper and picnic chairs also available.

Other Local Facilities: There are many other local activities to enjoy including golf, horse riding , tennis and kayaking. Lac Ste Croix, at the side of the breathtaking views of the Gorges du Verdon and the beautiful village of Moustiers Sainte-Marie, is also within a reasonable driving distance. Here, there are many water sports facilities available including, swimming, canoeing and fishing.

Extra room available : If you need more space, the owners have another double bedroom which will only be let to the same party/family as in the apartment. "Villa La Romarine" offers a double bedroom, with private en-suite facilities. The bedroom has been tastefully decorated and have plenty of storage space for all your holiday clothes. There are tea and coffee making facilities, air conditioning and satellite television (for anyone wishing to keep abreast of news back home). PLEASE ASK FOR DETAILS!

La Romarine is set in a fabulous location, peaceful and beautiful with lots of places to visit. Restaurants in abundance, markets in pretty bustling towns and beaches a drive away.

A tastefully furnished apartment with stunning views across the valley and lots of outside space and facilities including the beautiful pool.

Sheila & Melvin are wonderful hosts and go the extra mile to ensure your holiday is all it should be.

We loved our stay at Villa Romarine - and will definitely be returning. Having looked at the photographs on the website before our holiday we were expecting the apartment to be impressive, and we were not disappointed!!
The apartment is beautifully furnished and very homely, and is kitted out with everything that you need (and much more).
The view from the pool is absolutely stunning, and the outside terrace is the perfect place to enjoy dinner and drinks.
Sheila and Melvin were very welcoming, and couldn't have been more helpful.

We spent a week at "La Romarine", and will definitely return. It was perfect! Sheila and Melvin's hospitality is way beyond what you'd expect for holiday rental home owners, the house very nice and friendly, and the view.... WOW! It's literally breathtaking. Put these beside the fact that you're half an hour away from the beaches, half an hour away from Gorges du Verdon, in the middle of the vineyards, and you have all you need for The Holiday!
