The apartment is on the ground floor of a prestigious development, completed in 2004 by one of France's premier development companies. There are gardens, two swimming pools and a tennis court. Code entry electric gates control access to the development. There is plenty of parking space but if you prefer, there is also underground garage parking available. The apartment has 3 double bedrooms, 2 with double beds and a spacious living room (with TV, DVD & CD/Radio), a dining area and well-equipped kitchen (with dishwasher). There are also 2 single folding beds. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room and there is a bathroom that includes a washing machine plus a separate WC. It is beautifully furnished in rustic Provence style - originally as a show apartment. There is a covered terrace with dining table and chairs plus a small private garden area, which gets morning and evening sun but is shaded in the middle of the day. Cavalaire-Sur-Mer is 17Km south west of St Tropez and to the south of the Maures mountains. The area is not as crowded or as built up as Cannes and Nice. There are many beaches including the spectacular Pampelonne beach near St Tropez as well as small secluded rocky coves. There are a number of ancient hill villages, forests and vineyards in the surrounding area plus of course the beautiful blue Mediterranean Sea. The apartment is within the prestigious Domaine des Lavendiers, situated on the outskirts of Cavalaire but within easy walking distance of local amenities and beaches. Local Facilities
Everything you need is within walking distance. 15 minutes to the centre of town with plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, marina and beaches. 5 minutes to the main supermarket. 10 minutes to a secluded beach.
Local Area
Cavalaire-Sur-Mer is approximately 20 minutes drive from St Tropez. The apartment is in an enclosed and spacious domain situated on the outskirts of the town. To visit the surrounding area it is advisable to have or hire a car although there is an hourly bus service during the summer months that can take you to any of the local coast resorts. You can also hire cars by the day locally in Cavalaire, including traditional St Tropez Mini Mokes. There are sign posted walking paths along the coast and in the Maures Mountains nearby with views of the Alps. A cycle path has been formed from the disused railway line, cycles can be hired in Cavalaire.
