Set amongst the scented pine, oleander and olive trees of this beautiful, gated residence and a few steps from the huge, shared swimming pool, is our ground level apartment. The living-room has French windows onto a large terrace, ideal for relaxing with a glass of wine or eating 'al fresco’! Steps down from the terrace lead to the twin bedroom. Around the pool there are sun-loungers, mattresses and parasols for you to sunbathe at your leisure. If you feel more energetic there are two tennis courts and table tennis. Tahiti Plage, where the rich and famous sunbathe on the eastern end of the vast stretch of Pampleonne Beach, is only a 5-minute walk away! There are designer clothes and jewellery shops on the beach, as well as restaurants, cafes and the famous Club 55. Hire sun beds and umbrellas, pedalos and jet skis, or simply take your own picnic to the public beach and imagine what it was like when an unknown Brigitte Bardot filmed 'And God Created Woman' here in the 50's!

Only 5 minutes drive and you are in the centre of St Tropez, where you can browse the fascinating range of shops, or sit outside a harbour cafe and watch the boats and yachts. A short drive takes you to the picturesque and historic hilltop villages of Ramatuelle, Gassin and Grimaud, with their galleries and craft shops. Don't miss the ubiquitous, colourful provencal markets. Inland, Collobrieres is famous for its chestnut puree and cork making. The Maures forest surrounds it full of ancient cork trees. Modern Port Grimaud, with its waterways are just outside St Tropez. To the east, the perfume capital of Provence, Grasse, and also the dramatic Gorges de Verdun. Visit medieval St Paul de Vence, where starving artists, Picasso and friends, paid for food with now priceless paintings at the restaurant Colombe d'Or. Across the bay, St Maxime, St Raphael, and the wonderful Cote d'Azur Corniche. The cities of Nice and Marseille are about an hour and a half away by car in opposite directions.

Notes: The large terrace (15 sq m) is perfect for meals outside. Shaded by its awning it's like another room! Built some 30 years ago, this Residence consists of low-rise pan-tiled villas and apartments. Some are lived in all year round. Because of the layout and abundance of trees and flowers, you are not overlooked. The swimming pool heated from Easter to end September is one of the largest on a Residence in the Cote d'Azur! There are parasols, sun loungers and mattresses for your use by the pool. There are also poolside showers and facilities. Table tennis (bats and balls supplied). 2 tennis courts (bring own rackets and balls). Most importantly for this area, there is 1 allocated parking space. Entry to the Residence is via an electronically-controlled lodge gate by the Gardien's office. (Gardiens office open daily throughout high season). Although no shops nearby, there is a simple restaurant within a few minutes walk, open lunchtimes (12 e menu 2008) and evening.

'It doesn't seem that long ago I was enjoying the peaceful setting at Les Jardins du Pinet. I loved the setting. The pool was bigger than it seemed from the website photo. The quiet setting at Les Jardins, and the two restaurants nearby were fine and a welcome relief sometime from the hustle of St. Tropez. I had two of the best meals ever at the Chez Madeline!' Charming apartment in a wonderful location!

We have stayed in this apartment three consecutive summers and would not dream of staying anywhere else!

The apartment is really lovely, with a seperate bedroom, kitchen, new shower and outside terrace for those gorgeous St Tropez evenings!

It is situated in a really stunning development, one of the best in the St Tropez area. It s such a pleasure to come back to Jardin du Pinet after a day on the beach! It is perfectly maintained with beautiful flowers and trees and a massive pool. It is close to several good restaurants and is also very secure.

The location is second-to-none, within a five minute walk of the famous Tahiti beach and you can walk right along the coastline to one of the further beaches like Club 55 or Nikki Beach, which is a great workout and fun too!

I really do recommend this apartment to anyone, we love coming back here! Enjoy your stay!

This apartment is in an excellent location, with a short walk to the beaches and a brief drive to the town.

The grounds and pool are well kept, and are great for relaxing in after returning from the beach / town.

The apartment is clean and very comfortable for a couple and ideally situated for sightseeing.

The studio was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The patio area is delightful. The apartment is set in beautiful well-kept grounds with a large swimming pool and tennis facilities and is within wallking distance of several good restaurants and the beach. The studio affords a personal parking space.

Both my husband and I enjoyed our stay in September and are looking forward to returning later this year.
