Top-floor apartment in lovely, picturesque village of La Garde Freinet near St. Tropez. Apartment is part of a small, private development of only 28 apartments with lift and parking in secure, gated area. The main building is protected by a video entry phone system. Lovely, shared pool with sunbathing area and security railings to protect children. Three bedrooms - 2 double bedrooms with extensive wardrobe space, third bedroom with twin beds and wardrobe. Large bathroom with bath and shower, twin basins. Fully equipped kitchen offering beautiful views. Light, airy lounge plus dining area. Large, furnished balcony offering magnificent views extending over the village and as far as the Alps on the horizon. 2 minutes walk from the centre of the village.

La Garde Freinet is a pretty, medieval village situated in the wooded hills of the Maures Massif and is within easy reach of the coast and St. Tropez (20km). It is an official conservation village and is full of provencal charm. A two minute walk from the apartment takes you to the heart of the village which has several bars, restaurants, shops, bakeries, a bank, chemist and a doctors surgery. The surrounding countryside offers beautiful walks and the opportunity to visit numerous vineyards. It is a very peaceful and unspoilt area yet close to the Cote d'Azur with its renowned beaches, shopping and entertainment. There are also some lovely historic villages such as Gassin, Grimaud and Ramatuelle nearby.

Additional information about rental rates

  • These rates include all linen however please bring your own towels and tea towels. These can be provided but at a small, extra charge.
    A non-returnable deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking. Also a £150 deposit against breakages/damages is required to be sent with the balance of the rental. This will be returned after the apartment has been satisfactorily checked on departure. The balance should be sent not less than 4 weeks before arrival date and this, when received, is non-refundable.
    Arrivals and departures can be any day of the week and stays can be any length of time although there is a minimum stay of 5 days except July and August when it is a minimum stay of one week. Pls note arrivals after 9.00pm incur a 50 euro surcharge

Notes: The apartment is very comfortable and sleeps six easily. The third bedroom consists of twin beds, more suited to children. There is also a High Chair and a Travel Cot. The balcony has a table plus four chairs and there are sun loungers available by the pool. There is also an ironing board, iron, hairdryer, clothes airer etc.. The TV offers French channels plus BBC 1, 2, 3 and 4. Also, ITV 1 and 2. Channel 4 can be received at times! There is also a DVD player Towels can also be provided at a small extra charge.

The apartment is very well situated for a wonderful family holiday. It is very comfortable and relaxing and eating out on the balcony at night with the superb views is a real treat! Strolling down to the village for freshly baked croissants or baguette every morning is a lovely start to the day and the village itself is delightful. There is a market twice a week offering authentic French produce and you can buy most things things in the village. There is a small grocery store but for a main supermarket shop it is better to visit the supermarket at Cogolin (10 mins away). A new route from Stansted to Toulon-Hyeres has just opened up. The fares are very competitive and the airport is only 50 minutes away from the apartment. Easyjet and BA also fly to Nice and Marseille which are about 1 1/4 hours away.
