From Chateau de Mappe, a 5 km drive takes you to the picturesque village of Lorgues with its delightful restaurants, sidewalk cafes, 2 large supermarkets and a vibrant Provencal market held on Tuesdays. Of 15 Golf courses in the Var, St Endreol (25 minutes away) is one of the loveliest in Provence. Walking, canoeing, horse riding, cultural and historical delights and live music events are close by. The coast is 50 kilometres drive to Cannes and St Tropez. Aix-en-Provence and the mountainous Gorges du Verdon are approximately one and a half hours drive.

Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. An Early Bird Price is available for Summer break 2008, peak season, when made before December 31 2007. Winter short stay breaks available at reduced rentals. Booking deposit 25% of the rental with balance payable 6 weeks before rental commences (unless made at shorter notice due to availability, then full amount with deposit to be made upon booking). For bookings made within 8 weeks of rental, full payment is required. Security deposit of £200 payable with final payment. Linen included, except for pool/beach towels. Check in time 4pm onwards, check out by 10am. Other arrangements can be made depending on incoming guests. Phone for incoming calls is available.
