Charming detached cottage in a quiet location in Tourrettes built over three floors in grounds of 5400m2 – nearly 1.5 acres - with the owners' elegant country villa in a paradise location with wonderful views. Tourrettes is nowadays virtually joined to and part of its’ larger neighbour Fayence - the leading village in the area – the centre of which is within walking distance of the property. Fayence is a particularly attractive and historic “village perché” –with all the necessary local shops needed for an easy and unhurried holiday including lots of restaurants.The cottage is set above the owners’ main villa amidst “restanques” terraces – with lovely panoramic views from much of the accommodation. The beautiful swimming pool – 10m x 5m – is located at the lower level - 40 metres away - but guests enjoy the exclusive use of the pool to themselves – even when the owners are in residence.

Tourrettes is a beautifully conserved historic village joined to Fayence which is the leading village of the area - a particularly attractive and historic “village perché” and amongst several picturesque and historic villages on a ridge of hills situated in the unspoilt hinterland just inland from the famous resorts and beaches of the Riviera. They are amongst the most beautiful villages in France – with stone village houses lining narrow cobbled streets leading to a 'Place du Marché' or church. In addition to local shops and restaurants there is a different provençal market for nearly each day of the week and two supermarkets in the valley below. For excursions it is a 30 minute drive to the resorts of the Riviera or inland there are many more wonderful undiscovered villages of the hinterland. -with shady squares and fountain surrounded by Côte de Provence vineyards. A ' must see ' - is a visit to the unique and spectacular Gorges of Verdon best enjoyed as part of a day of exploration
