The Cottage is in the grounds of a private Villa. It has its own lawn area with table chairs and Barbecue. You also have use of the pool area of the garden for sunbathing or playing games and use of the pool - there is also a paddling pool available (on request)for the smaller guests. We are in the residential part of the village a two minute walk to the centre where you will find lots of shops, bars and restaurants. The very family friendly beach is just a 7 minute walk away where you will also find bars and restaurants. There is a market held in the village square on a Tuesday and Friday morning and during July and August there is music on a Wednesday and Sunday in the square for you to dance to. There are many trips that you can go on, one of the most popular is by boat from St Raphael to St Tropez.

Saint-Aygulf is just outside the historic Roman town of Frèjus and is well known for its long sandy beaches with calm shallow inlets, ideal for all of the family whatever their ages. The village is superbly provided with many restaurants, bars and shops including supermarkets, pharmacies, bakers, hairdressers, banks, Post Office and a Doctors. There is market on a Tuesday and Friday all year round. In the afternoons you can play boule in the square or in July and August two nights a weeks you can dance away the evening to live music. It is easy access to many larger resorts of St. Tropez, Cannes and Nice.

Notes: We have a High Chair, Travel Cot, Car Seat and Push Chair available for your use. We do not mind smokers but they MUST only smoke outside! The Cottage faces south so it is therefore very light, but stays cool in the summer with the help of a tree just outside the main door. The shower room, bedroom and lounge windows are double glazed and the latter two have mosquito blinds. The lawn area of the garden has sun and shade all through the summer and is there for you to enjoy.

About the Area: Saint-Aygulf is the next village from the historic Roman town of Frèjus towards St. Maxime/St. Tropez and is easily accessible from the A8 motorway. This in turn allows you easy day trips to Monaco or on to Italy, Nice and nearer to us you will find Biot (for Glass), Grassse (for Perfume), Valauris (for Pottery) and the Gorges du Verdun (for stunning views). You will never tire of discovering the pretty villages all around us and we are happy to provide details on your arrival. If you prefer not to drive you can leave your car securely behind our electronic gate and walk leisurely to the village or beaches. There is also a bus service from the village to take you to Frèjus and (if needed!) to the local hospital.

For your entertainment: Saint-Aygulf has a long long stretch of much envied sandy beaches, with gentle slopes to the water. In and around the area you can enjoy walking around the famous Lake Villepy and marvel at its wildlife, take to water skiing, tennis, horse riding, golf and fishing. Or if you prefer to take things quietly then why not sit and watch( or take part in) the boules matches played on the village square by the Post Office. In Frèjus there is a Huge Water Park and Fairground next door ( open only in high season). Nearby is a Go Cart Track for the more adventurous. There is a Catholic Church in Saint-Aygulf and a beautiful Cathedral in Frèjus and a lovely most friendly Anglican Church in St Raphael having just celebrated its 100th Anniversary in 2007. In Frèjus itself there are many historic Roman Sites to visit. A trip from St. Raphael by boat to St Tropez or in the other direction to the Islands off Cannes is a wonderful way to see the coastline and a great day out.
