The Provencal Garden cottage is located in the medieval village of Ampus in the Var. Set in natural woodlands and fields of wild flowers, the cottage is a blend of modern and traditional decor offering comfort with an authentic Provencal ambience. French doors lead from the terrace into the spacious open-plan living area, which has a traditional wood burning stove and comfortable furnishings. A large well-appointed kitchen is the perfect place for preparing delicious meals with local delicacies from the village markets. The bedrooms are cool, light and airy, each with their own modern bathroom. The fenced private swimming pool and terrace are set in a secluded part of the garden approximately 40 metres from the cottage This is ideal for sunbathing and relaxed 'al-fresco' dining.

• All prices are per week.
  
• Price includes weekly house cleaning and linen change, pool and garden maintenance, electricity.
  Mid-week cleaning service and linen change extra.
  Bed linen, towels and toiletries provided.
  Essential groceries and a selection of local delicacies will be provided for your arrival.
  
• A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to confirm booking, the balance being payable 4 weeks prior to arrival.
  A damage deposit of £400.00 is due on arrival, being refundable following inspection at the end of the stay.
  We strongly recommend travel insurance be arranged to cover cancellation and other risks.

Activities and Outdoors

The 'Gorges de Verdon' (approx. 45 minutes away) offers breathtaking views, walking, climbing, river rafting, kayaking Also, close by is 'Lac St Croix' and 'Lac de St Cassien' for all forms of water sports. The ski-resort of 'Foux d'Allos'in the Alps is less than 2 hours away. There is easy access for visiting a large number of coastal resorts.

Gourmet

Excellent restaurants in almost every village many of them awarded with the highly rated Michelin Star. Shopping in the markets for local specialities including olives, honey, lavender, truffles, fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables and not forgetting the wonderful cheeses. Visit the local chateau and wine estates, and sample some of the excellent Provencal wines.

Cookery Tours

Gourmet Cookery tours can be arranged with prior notice. These include cookery demonstrations, a visit to the local olive mill, goats cheese farm, vineyards for wine-tasting just to mention a few. Plus, dining in several of the highly acclaimed local restaurants.
