La Campagne is a charming and traditional Provencal farmhouse property which is owned by a locally very well known ceramic & tiles artist. This old Bastide dating from 18th century and has recently been renovated preserving the authentic structure. It consists of 3 double bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms, kitchen with dining area, laundry room and a large sitting room. On the top floor there is a second sitting room with two extra beds. If you would need additional beds there is also a studio with a family bedroom with two double beds (sleeps another 4), small kitchen with dining area, laundry room and a shower-room. N.B. There is an addtional charge of €500 per week for the studio. Situated above the village of Salernes, two acres of private land, a swimming pool for private use, and exquisite views combine to provide an ideal setting for a wonderful holiday.

La Campagne is situated 1 km south of the village of Salernes. It's about 60-80 minutes from the International airports of Nice, Toulon and Marseille. The village is in the valley of the River Bresque, 20 km west of Draguignan.

The Village
Salernes is situated in the heart of Provence and is the Provencal centre of the ceramic and terracotta industry. There are 15 tiles factories in or near the village that make hand-made tiles. Most famous are 'les tomettes' that cover most floors in old Provencal house. There is a wonderful Sunday market in Salernes as well as a smaller one on Wednesdays. Each surrounding village has a weekly market as well. Within an hour from Salernes you can visit the beaches of the Mediterranean, the ruins of Frejus, an historic Abbey, Medieval sites and Gorges of Verdon, the Grand Canyon of Europe. There are three golf courses within an hour's drive.
