Beautiful old townhouse 50m from water's edge!!
We fell in love with this house when we first saw it and have used it for many happy holidays in Sanary ourselves. This house was one of the last of the “old town” built in 1860 and right in the heart of the pedestrianised area within walking distance of everything including the beach and port. Access to the sea is through a little passageway just outside the house that brings you out on the seafront in the centre of this picturesque fishing port and village. There are three good sized bedrooms (two doubles and one twin), a large open plan American kitchen/dining area and sitting room which takes up most of the ground floor. It has beautiful exposed oak beams and large open fireplace. There is a modern shower room downstairs. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, large frostless fridge freezer and electric oven with gas hob. The house is less than 50m from the beach and port, with many restaurants and bars in this very pretty seaside port which is alive all year round.

Sanary-sur-Mer is located 5km east of Bandol near Toulon and is on the coast. It is a beautiful fishing port which also has its own beach and is very close to the picturesque islands of Port-Cros and Porquerolles which are only a short boat ride away and a haven for bird watchers or people escaping from cars and civilisation. Take boat trips down the beautiful coastline and see the Callanques de Cassis, go walking in the hills behind Sanary with their spectacular views or just sit on the beach and enjoy the market, restaurants, evening entertainments, fairs and fireworks laid on by the town. Sanary-sur-mer is a beautiful town with a great market, lovely beaches and fantastic walks. This townhouse is in the perfect location for exploring all of these amenities, plus the many historical and picturesque sites in the area.
The house is situated on a pretty little side street, right in the heart of the town, within a very short walking distance of the waterfront. It is adjacent to a quiet square which makes a pleasant place for children to play, and there are plenty of good restaurants close by, including one directly across the street.
The house itself is attractively decorated and beautifully maintained and has all the facilities that a family requires, including good bed linen and lots of towels. It is clean, pretty, and well appointed. All the appliances are very modern and in excellent working condition and there is a lovely fireplace in the sitting room, in case of cool days.
The first time we stayed in this house our children were under 12, and they loved it and kept talking about coming back. The second time we stayed the oldest child was a teenager and they both still loved it. One of the things they really liked was being able to walk by themselves to the nearby crepe stand to get their lunch or to the carousel at the waterfront.
Our holidays in this house have been very relaxing and enjoyable. The owners were wonderful to deal with and were very helpful. As a result we are very keen to rent this house again in the future.
