Luxurious grand house with stunning views featured in House and Garden
An impressive and romantic property with breathtaking views set in the comfort of the countryside. Pure peace. Hot tub and salt water pool. Just forty minutes from Saint Tropez and at the heart of the Var and its historic towns and villages. Views over distant hills from both sides of the house, surrounded by gardens and olive trees, 5 mins to the market town of Lorgues, just under an hour from Nice airport, an hour and a quarter from Marseille, and ten minutes from the TGV station at Les Arcs. A warm welcome to families with children. A safe haven. The pool is alarmed, there are children's toys all in a safe fenced area, a trampoline and wendy house, bikes, toys, an extensive DVD and book library and UK TV Satellite. The house is luxurious and elegant. A chance for the family to de-stress. Outdoor chefs BBQ and kitchen. Outdoor seating; lunch and dinner for ten at one table, tea for six at a wrought iron pool table, upholstered benches, loungers

| Notes: | La Beliere is generously supplied with linens and towels and a well supplied kitchen. There is a long dining table inside and outside, both of which can cater for ten at a sitting, if not more outside. There are extensive facilities for children, toys, DVDs, two cots, and outside a little white wooden play house on stilts, a trampoline l in an enclosed safe space. The pool has an alarm available. The telephone makes local calls only. You are welcome to smoke outside. Please do not throw cigarettes into the grass as this is against the law in an area which is prone to forest fires. Thanks |
Hot tub. Panoramic views. Salt water pool
• Fig trees. Olive trees. Lavender. • A hot tub and a salt water pool • Lovingly landscaped gardens with soft water fed lawns. • Artistic and authentic rooms of large sizes. Cleaning service 2 times per week included • Cool in summer, thanks to its great central hallway, cosy in the winter with fireplaces in the two main rooms. Your children are safe, they have plenty to do. Sit outside early evening, enjoy the views with some local market olives, sliced saucisson, and a bottle of the local St Julien D'aille Viognier - our top recommendation - for its apricoty velvet gorgeousness. You'll sleep in perfect silence.
All you need to relax.
The master suite is tiled in antique ‘chateau’ flooring, the suite features a handsome oval bath, a walk in marble shower. It is a magnificent, cool, light space, which can be perfectly dark at night. With a formidable air conditioning system, this room is heaven itself! There is a wide screen television, DVD player and satellite SKY TV. All the British channels are available as well as many more. There is on hand a vast DVD library. The salon has a soft pink brown marble antique fireplace, French doors and large windows. Beyond it are two further bedrooms – and an en suite bathroom with antique detail. Upstairs the guest rooms are handsome and spacious and the bathroom glorious. On the ground floor there is a large study with an old pale white stone fire place, a laundry room, and a completely renovated large tiled kitchen with massive beautiful wooden framed windows which maximize the view.
Explore, the vineyards, forests and St Tropez!
The house of La Bélière is entered through a 10 metre high entrance hall, which helps it stay cool. Up the stairway are two large upstairs bedrooms and a new bathroom – in antique Italian marble, with a walk in shower. Upon entry, the visitor’s eye is lured to the breathtaking views. The grounds are magical, they descend through trees, past two ‘secret gardens’ we use for vegetables and strawberries, via fig trees, offering black and a white fruit in August, past a selection of fruit trees – the cherries are particularly wonderful in May down into the valley. For the last seven years we have harvested our own olive oil. At the bottom of the long garden are woods, and vineyards and the ruins of the old Béliere house, a special place steeped in history and offering nature's buffet in September - blackberries, figs, grapes. If you get bored - make your way to St Tropez, just 35-40 mins drive and wonderful, with a village-y feel in autumn and winter. Saturday market not to be missed.
Other Activities Kayaking, canoeing at Vidauban, Argens River.
Skiing Information:
Family skiing for the less advanced at Gréolières, just an hour and a half away, a real gem. Cheap and safe and family orientated. Isola 2000 offers wonderful skiing but at 1h45 mins.
Golf Information:
Domaine St Endreol is a mere 15 minutes away with fabulous golf and a divine luxury spa. We love it!
