'Tartine'. Charming spacious 'Maison de Hameau' with floodlit terraced garden and very large heated pool. The house is situated in a quiet village over looking the forest and yet so close to the jet set life of St Tropez, the historical village of Grimaud and an enormous coast line of sandy beaches. The house is furnished to a high British standard with English beds + linen; all modern appliances such as American style fridge, dishwasher, washing & drying machines Sky, TV (British channels) hi-fi. Air conditioning in the main bedroom; fans in all other rooms; central heating and a log fire for the winter evenings. Cleaning before arrival and on departure is included in the price and any further cleaning or cooking can be arranged. Baby-sitting can also be arranged. Golf, tennis, horse riding, walking and swimming are all on the doorstep. The house is approximately 40 minutes from Toulon International airport, which makes 'Tartine' and ideal place to go for a holiday.

'Tartine' is situated in the Hameau of Val de Gilly which is approximately 5 klm's from Grimaud, 7km's from Cogolin and 15km's from St Tropez. You drive through the famous ' Val de Gilly' Vineyard to get to 'Tartine'. There are approximately ten houses in the lovely old village and the road stops and the forest starts. The beach, 'Ramatuelle' is 15km's from the house where the well known' Cinquante Cinq ' restaurant for the rich and famous presides. Nice, Marseilles and Toulon International Airports are all within easy distance of 'Tartine'.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A 30% booking fee is required to secure a booking. The balance is due 45 days before departure. A seperate cheque is also required for £350 to cover the telephone and breakages which will be returned when French Telecom send their itemised statement and calls/damages have been deducted.

    All prices are per week for 8 people to include Electricity and water, heating the pool, bed linen + laundered sheets, towels and pool towels. Cleaning is done before arrival and after arrival but more cleaning can be arranged and paid for seperately.Cooking and baby sitting are also available at extra cost.
  • Lets are from Saturday to Saturday (18.00hrs arrivals - 11.30am departures).
  • The changeover day is negotiable only at off-peak times

Notes: The house sleeps 6 people and the pool house sleeps 2. The main bedroom has an en suite bathroom with shower, dressing room and air conditioning. The second bedroom is queensize sharing a shower room with loo and seperate loo with the other bedroom which has two single beds. The pool house has two single beds which can be joined as a double, it's own bath and shower and kitchenette.

Golf and Tennis: There are at least Three Golf courses nearby. Beauvallon ( near St Maxime) 30 minutes away from the house (Tel: 04 94 96 16 98 ) Golf St Maxime (St Maxime) 40 minutes away from the house (Tel:04 94 55 02 02 ) Golf St Endreol (La Muy) 1 hour away from the house (Tel:04 94 51 89 89 ) Tennis: The Boulangerie which is down the road from the house has said we can use their court at any time. Call Tel No: 04 94 43 23 16 Cogolin - Have tennis courts but I do not have their details to hand.

Pubs and Restaurant: There are wonderful restaurants and Pubs in Grimaud, Port Grimaud, Cogolin and St Tropez and I have quite a few of their details in a book in the house. Philippa and Rebecca (the two girls who look after 'Tartine') are fantastic cooks and are willing to do dinner parties. Their number can be given on request.

Beaches: The most famous beaches are along the coast road near Ramatuelle which is 15km's from 'Tartine'.

Golf: Play golf all year round. There are three courses nearby so why not come to the South of France for a golfing experience. If you want to rent my house for a weekend or week, please contact me on 01952 840 230

Bezauberndes Mas mitten im Grünen

Das Haus ist ein Kleinod mitten in einem kleinen Ort nahe Grimaud.
In 2 Minuten ist man mitten in den schönsten Korkeichenwäldern.
Auf der Terrasse des Hauses zu sitzen ist Erholung pur.

Das Mas ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit allem was man braucht. Hochwertiges Porzellan. Schöne Gläser.
Sehr freundlicher Empfang mit einem überraschenderweise gefüllten Kühlschrank.
Das Haus ist sauber und gepflegt. Schönes Masterschlafzimmer mit angrenzendem Bad und Wintergarten.Sehr gute Matratzen. Die beiden unteren Schlafzimmer sind eher als klein zu bezeichnen, bieten jedoch ausreichend Platz für 4 Personen.

Sehr freundliche Vor- und Nachbetreuung durch die Vermieterin.

Nachteil: Im Ort gibt es leider keinen Bäcker. Deshalb muss man sich morgens schon ins Auto setzen. Auf ein Auto ist man in Val de Gilly auch im jedem Fall angewiesen. Eine Busverbindung gibt es nicht. Auch ein Fußweg von Grimaud nach Val de Gilly ist in der Nacht nicht zu empfehlen, da die Straßenbeleuchtung fehlt.

Tartine ist ein schönes Haus, in dem man einen erholsamen Urlaub verbringen kann, abseits vom Trubel der Küste. Und doch ist sie mit dem Auto schnell erreichbar.
