A wonderful week at Les Colombelles

We are a family of 5 (with 3 young children aged 8,6 and 4). We spent a week at Les Colombelles in August 2010. The house is wonderful. It is clean, well furnished and well equipped with everything we required. The views from the garden and terrace were perfect and we enjoyed daily breakfast/occasional meals on the terrace. The pool is great - large with a shallow area and steps for young children and it never got crowded or too busy. On occasions we had it to ourselves. This was probably due to the fantastic beaches nearby - fine sand and clear blue waters - we spent a number of full days at the beaches. The location was an excellent base for site seeing and I recommend the ferry trip across the bay from Les Issambres to St Tropez, which lives up to its reputation.The children really enjoyed the trip. Alternatively you can head inland into rural provence. Les Issambres has everything you need - restaurants, bank, bakery, mini supermarket etc. The owner, Isabel and the on site support were very helpful and quick to respond. The highest recommendation I can make is that we have booked the house for a return visit in 2011, and having travelled extensively, it is very rare for us to stay in the same place twice. A 5 star holiday in a 5 star house.
