Parking on the property behind gates. WiFi ADSL or use of our own desktop. Free linen for 2, beach equipment, games, videos, books, local advice. English FM radio station with regular local and international news from the BBC and one of the best music compilations ever. Generous private terrace with roller-blinds for day-long al fresco enjoyment and use of an adjoining private part of the garden. Contiguous wild hillside for great rambles and views of the islands and the surrounding Provence countryside. Toulon airport (with direct flights to London) a 20 min drive away. Don't worry about the pictures (to be updated), now a separate kitchen and more living space.

Our peaceful home is a 10 min walk from the beach, yet away from the hustle & bustle. The beauty of the 'Massif des Maures' is outstanding. Day excursions by car possible to Spain, Andorra, Italy, Monte Carlo, not to mention Aix-en-Provence and hundreds of other places for their cultural heritage. If you're into not moving too much, we've got some of the best beaches on the coast (both sandy and rocky, bays and coves... and fantastic coastal walks to picture-postcard views.

  • - Rental prices are for up to 2 people. Extra people at 20% of the rental price, with a minimum of 80 Euros. Linen free for 2 people, above which complete sets (sheets, towels, etc.) are available at 14€ per person. Beach towels at 5€ each. If required, cleaning can be done for you for 30€. Heating, if ever necessary, is included.
    - A cot and high-chair can be supplied at no extra cost.
  • - Unless otherwise agreed on beforehand, rentals are from 6pm Saturday to mid-day Saturday.
    - Free ADSL access via WiFi, Ethernet, or using our desktop.
  • - Refundable security deposit 160€.

Notes:

Many of our guests, after having previously stayed in the apartment with family (no longer available), have come back as simple couples and taken the studio year after year, enjoying the pleasure of day-long sunshine on the terrace and in the adjoining garden. Our garden backs onto a private hillside, wild and wonderful, from which there are spectacular sunrise views of the surrounding countryside and islands. A mornings walkabout perhaps, after a leisurely stroll around the corner for croissants, baguettes, fruits, etc., for breakfast...

Space:

The size of your terrace matters, in warm sunshine-land. When you're at home, you want to be able to share inside and outside freely. Your terrace has nothing to do with those 'teetsie-weetsie' balcony jobs. It's private, of a generous size, and actually doubles your living-space. Add to that a very comfortable adjoining part of the garden as an annexe with loungers, parasols, table, etc., all this on the same level, and you're actually talking about a bit of luxury.

Weather:

Bormes-les-Mimosas was recognised as having the most sunshine and best average temperatures per year of all of France. Even when the weather has been bad, as it has been in Winter recently, we've been quietly sitting at home, bit of rain, bit of wind, listening to the disasters going on towards Nice or Marseilles, finding it hard to believe our luck, even though we took over 30 years to decide on the place... a long search rewarded.

Exaggeration

We don't practise that art-form hence, no doubt, the increasing number of guests we're pleased to welcome year after year.

Too boring to quote, though we have all the original comments handwritten in our guest books, to which more will no doubt be added with time. It basically goes something like:

'Wonderful area. Superb welcome. Very comfortable accommodation with all the equipment and facilities necessary for a carefree holiday included to the last detail.'

And, best of all, the repeated comment that 'THIS WAS MUCH BETTER THAN WE ANTICIPATED, REALLY EXCELLENT VALUE'.
