Photos and Description of this Fayence holiday villa 3 available Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sleeps 6.

A detached Provencal villa of 130sq m, set in a garden of 800sq m with views of the surrounding rugged hills and the valley below. Les Cerises is 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Fayence, along a pretty lane of detached villas. It looks and feels like open country round about but there are a surprising number of houses tucked away and hidden by large gardens and hedges. Large gates open onto the front of the house with parking for up to 3 cars and the front door opens onto a spacious atrium style 'sejour' or living room, off which is the master bedroom and ensuite bathroom and the kitchen, pantry and 'cave'. French windows lead out to the terrace, the deck and the pool, all of which are surrounded by olive trees and other native flora in the garden. Upstairs there are 2 available bedrooms, a shower room and separate toilet. In the 'cave' by the front door, there is garden furniture, 4 bikes and garden games. All in all, the house has everything one might need.

The famous 'perched' village of Fayence is an appealing place. It's one of the larger hill villages behind the Cote d' Azur, other hill villages close by are Montauroux, Callian and Seillans. It's about a half hour from Cannes, the same from St. Tropez and Frejus, and 45 minutes from Nice airport, so it's very close to the fashionable Riviera, yet it edges into beautiful Provence. It is an ideal central base from which to explore the glorious coastline or go inland to Grasse, St Paul de Vence or the spectacular Gorges du Verdon. Half an hour away is at Mandelieu - a very attractive place indeed with its Chateau and port. Between there and Fayence in the middle of the Massif de l'Esterel is the stunning Lac de St Cassien, a popular alternative to the Med - swimming, sailing, fishing and pedalos. The ski slopes of the Alpes Maritime are only one and a half hours away, closest being Valberg, a really pretty and authentic Alpine village with good pistes and skiing for all abilities.

Further details for this holiday villa rental in Fayence, France

Fayence: With a population of around 4500, Fayence is big enough to have quite a few decent shops, restaurants and bars but manages to avoid the rather more frantic happenings down on the coast. It's more relaxed, friendlier and more authentically French. There's a Provencal market 3 days a week, local vineyards offering visits and tastings, regular concerts in the new exhibition hall or in the open air, and lots of nearby galleries, potteries and antique shops. In the valley below, the gliding centre is supposed to be the best in Europe and a good place for a drink or a meal. Even a trial flight. For the golfers the new Terre Blanche course across the valley aims to be one of the best in France and there are other courses nearby at Mandelieu and Cannes. Horse riding is available locally and there are tennis courts at the bottom of the hill for the really energetic. To find out more about the town, please ask us for web site link.

Ski: Ski-ing is about an hour and a half away at Valberg, in the Alpes Maritime. It's a beautiful and authentic village, easy to get to and not too busy.

Golf: We're not golfers but La Terre Blanche a few kilometers away is supposed to be one of the best courses in Europe. There are several other courses particularly nearer the coast.

Other Activities: Skiing in lovely Valberg - 1h 30 min drive with all the facilities of the Cote d'Azur within 25 mins' drive

A Gorgeous Villa

Issy & Emie London, UK
Review Submitted: October 13, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2008
Everything went very well at Les Cerises. We loved our time spent there very much, and were tremendously reluctant to leave! It is a very comfortable and welcoming home in the most delightful of towns in the most stunning of areas. We really did enjoy ourselves and the weather remained favourable during the day for our whole stay. We even made forays into the pool! The cats also add their vote of confidence too!

Great Value for Money

SallyElisabeth Esher, Surrey
Review Submitted: October 18, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
First Class acccomodation, fantastic location and great value for money - what a good choice we made for our Autumn break.
Les Cerises is a wonderful house located a short stroll from the centre of Fayence. The house is very well equipped, clean, bright and airy.
Doors from the main living area open out onto a delightful sun deck, a lovely spot to enjoy the sun and the odd glass of wine.
We also made good use of the open log fire which we lit most evenings as we enjoyed a cosy dinner a deux.
Fayence itself is a great base to explore the peace and tranquility of inland Provence and the lively resorts on the coast.
The whole holiday was a great success and we will certainly be booking Les Cerises again next year.

Lovely Villa, beatiful part of the world

Paul & Mary Isleworth
Review Submitted: October 11, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
A very comfortable villa, equipped with everything you're likely to need. It is spacious, clean and well looked after (towels and bed linen changed weekly) and a credit to the owners.
The patio is a lovely spot for a meal al fresco, paticularly in the morning when it is bathed in sunshine.
A ten minute walk brings you to the town centre, where there are a number of restaurants, bars and shops, with a market three times a week - where fresh produce can be bought for those who wish to use the villa's cookinf facilities.
For those who wish to explore the wider area, the trains are probably the best way to reach Cannes, Nice or Monaco and beyond, whilst there is a very pleasant boat trip from St Raphael to St Tropez
This was our second visit (we were there in the Spring last year) and I hope we shall return again in the future

Highly recommended villa

Brevis Bushey, Herts, UK
Review Submitted: September 3, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
We had a fantastic stay in this villa. Everything has been thought of and provided - particularly piles of clean towels - much appreciated!
Very well positioned - we could walk to the town centre which was a bonus.
I would highly recommend this property (and its owners) for anyone staying in this lovely part of France.
Caroline and Tony
