Superb provencal Villa

Villa is south facing. Large covered terrace overlooking garden, wood hills and Mont Vinagre in the distance. The villa is situated on five acres of mature gardens and wooded terraces (olives, oak, pine). It is very private, not overlooked. Large 12m x 5m pool. This is a very quiet and peaceful location (only half km. From the old village of Claviers). At 400m altitude, it is cooler at night making for a good night's sleep even in August. Claviers is a charming perched village with boulangerie, grocer, two restaurants, bar and Post office. It has lovely walks all around and there are many delightful villages and Vineyards nearby. Bargemon, Seillans and Fayence are well worth a visit. Draguignan is half hour by car which is a large town with many shops and supermarkets etc. Grasse, Cannes and Antibes are approx 40 min drive.

Claviers is a typical old French Village, pop. 750. Altitude 400m. The surrounding region is dotted with other small villages, such as Bargemon, Callas, Fayence and Seillans. The whole area is very picturesque and is ideally located for those who like to visit the many surrounding vineyards olives groves and restaurants. Also Claviers is a good base for anyone who wishes to visit the major tourist towns, eg. St. Tropez, Cannes, Nice, Aix-en-Provence, Avignon and Marseille. The nearest beaches are only a 35 min drive from Claviers. The nearest airports are Nice (1 hr), Marseille (1hr.20min) and Toulon (1hr).

Skiing

There are a few good ski resorts within 1h- 2hrs from Claviers, namely Greoulieres (ideal for families), Col D'Allos, Auron and Isola 2000.

Walking

There are many fantastic walks in the area for the walking enthusiasts. We have a booklet which details the many walks in the surrounding countryside.

Other Activities Table tennis and large boule in the garden.

Golf Information:

There are many superb golf courses nearby, namely The Four Seasons in Fayence, Chateau Taulane (closed between October and mid Apri), St. Endreol in Le Muy; Roquebrune Golf, Vallescure in St. Raphael and Cannes/ Mougins Golf. These are just a few of many. These golf courses are highly recommended by me and by the many golfers who have stayed with us in Claviers.
