Le Cerisier is a traditional Provencal villa with lovely views of the medieval perched village of Callian and across the valley below. The villa with its own private pool is situated just below the village in an area with meadows, vineyards and olive groves. The villages of Callian and Montauroux are within walking distance (uphill but quiet country lanes). Located in a peaceful yet very convenient location at the end of a no-through road, the villa faces south and has several patios offering a choice of shade or sun throughout the day. There are two living rooms, one used as a breakfast and TV room, the other has separate dining and seating areas. Both rooms have patio doors leading on to shady, terraced areas. Air conditioning is available in all rooms. There is broadband wi-fi internet access and free telephone (Europe, USA and Canada) and the villa has a large (40ins) flat screen HDTV, a DVD player, UK Freesat HD box and French TV access. A table tennis table is available.

Callian is reputably the most attractive of a chain of small hilltop villages, separated from the coast, only fifteen miles away, by the beautiful Esterel hills. It is ten minutes drive from the Villa to the A8 motorway giving easy access to Nice Airport and the rest of the Cote d'Azur. Nearest towns are Grasse and Draguignan with Cannes, Frejus and St Tropez easily accessible.

  • Bedroom 1 with a queen size double and bedroom 2 with1 or 2 singles are on the ground floor and have beautiful views of Callian village. They share a bathroom and separate toilet. Bedroom 3 with queen size bed is on the first floor and has its own luxurious bathroom with bath, separate shower enclosure and separate toilet. There are views of the village from both the bedroom and the bathroom. Bedroom 4 is a delightful ground level room at the front of the villa and is well placed for a morning dip in the private pool. It has its own bathroom with shower and a separate toilet.

Notes: The kitchen is fully equipped. A second refrigerator adjacent to the kitchen is available for cool drinks. The washing machine is situated in a separate laundry room. The bathrooms are all equipped with baths and showers. All ground floor bedrooms have French windows opening on to terraces. The nine metre private pool is at the front of the villa and the well stocked garden, with grass, shrubs and trees also boasts a pond with fish and fountain

Suitability: Regretfully, this villa is unsuitable for children under 5 because of an open staircase and an unprotected fish pond. The swimming pool is fitted with a splash alarm but careful supervision is essential for all children who cannot swim.

Tourist attractions: Callian is an excellent centre from which to explore the historical villages in the region, the Gorges of Verdon and Siagne. All forms of water sports are available on the magnificent Lac de St Cassien within fifteen minutes drive of the Villa. There is a gliding school in the valley below the village for those wishing to spread their wings. All levels of walking can be found in the local countryside.
