Notes to the rental rates

• A discount of 80 to 200 Euros per week is granted as from the 2nd week (not from 17 May to 7 June and 21 June to 5 July). Special discounts are available for longer stays off-season. Week-ends can be arranged off-season. Deposit of 1000 Euros required (cash or credit card print). Rates are all-inclusive; only additional charges are for optional cleaning-up. Linen is provided (no beach towels however).
  
• Cleaning up: the villa should be left perfectly clean for occupancy by the following client. A cleaning service is available on request on the day of your departure. The cost is 100 Euros (even then, the house should be left in a tidy state and washing up done).
  
• House linen (bedsheets, etc., towels - not beach towels however) are provided free of charge.

Sailing and windsurfing

This villa is particularly suitable as a base for sailing, motor boating or windsurfing: a private landing stage is available, a gate allows hauling a boat into the garden, and there is storage room for equipment. The Giens bay is a famous windsurfing spot (European championships etc.). It is safe, as strong winds usually blow towards the beach. The beautiful islands of Porquerolles, Port-Cros (national park) and Le Levant are nearby.

Children

The villa is specially equipped for young children (2 cots with bed linen, binding cushion, pot, safety gates at indoor and outdoor stairs, small tables and chairs, high chair). The shore in front is safe for young children, who like to play on the small shallow beach. Teenagers will make the best out of the activities offered by the sea (windsurfing, snorkelling, paddling, going to the beaches). In the holiday season, there are many opportunities for going out, either nearby at the small port of La Madrague, on the beach 3km away, or at the yachting port of Hyères (8 km).

Shore

In front of the villa, the sea is shallow for about 50 metres from the shore, forming channels, pools and hills with a depth varying between 0.5 and 3 metres. Except near the landing stage, it is grown with posidonies, a locally protected variety of sea grass (snorkeling area). A sandy patch in front of the sea gate forms a small beach, which is fine and safe for young children. Although it is not a conventional beach, grown-ups can swim off from it. The water near the shore remains clean thanks to water level variations caused by the wind, and tends to be warmer than in the open sea. There are small beaches on the South coast of the peninsula (700 metres away by foot, going 50 m uphill and then down), and large beaches 1500 m away both East (the long beach which links the peninsula to the continent) and West (after La Madrague).
